Have stayed twice now both times in the presidential suite. The reception staff were always friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was quick and easy. The room is fantastic and great value too. Huge comfy bed with loads of pillows to choose from, room is circular which was unique and the whole suite is lavishly furnished. Views from these rooms look over the theme park which is another great addition. Bathroom is nice with twin sinks and a big bath. Only downsides was the shower head on both occassions wasn't cleaned properly so many of the jets blocked.

The restaurant however is terrible, the food is small bland and really overpriced (both dinner and breakfast). And as the restaurant has no quiet areas you're stuck between screaming kids. Plenty of places to eat in Tamworth so head out to eat!

Room Tip: Presidential suites are quieter and have theme park views. DO NOT EAT IN THE RESTAURANT

I am happy to see our Presidential Room was a hit with you. If the jets are blocked on your next stay please let us know at reception - we would try our best to get any issue as such resolved. Our menu has recently been changed so I would encourage you to give it another shot should you stay in future. Thank you for re-visiting our hotel and taking the time to tell us about your stay.

We decided to treat our thomas mad son to one of the themed rooms for my birthday 4th june, on first glance we were very impressed!! dvd/tv attatched to each bunk bed and the paintings on the wall were great. However, there was no thomas tolietries and when i looked the room was filthy!! Large cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and im not joking, every single surface had a layer of dust on it!! For the price we paid (which was alot) i was not happy and spoke to the girl on reception-she couldnt have been anymore apologetic and professional and did explain that there was issues with housekeeping and imediately changed our room and gave us upgraded thomas tolietries. The second room was larger (room 24) and was clean throughout.
We had tea in the restaurant and it was pretty good! i had the steak which was perfectly cooked and the chips were amazing. But the service was that of a 5*hotel/restaurant. There was one particular girl who asked several times if everything was ok and also took further drink and dessert orders from us-she really was a credit to the hotel!!!
All in all our stay was great!! But if it hadnt been for the service already mentioned and the fact the rooms were so suited to our son i would have given the hotel 2-3 as the room really was disgusting. This is a shame as the buck doesnt stop with the housekeepers, it is their supervisors and the hotel management who need to be checking rooms.

Room Tip: room 24 ground floor was larger than the others

We had a great stay at Drayton Manor during May half term and the room was lovely, clean and cosy. We had a normal room. Car parking was easy and ideal for visiting the park both days. Staff were very helpful and the boys (aged 4 and 6) loved the whole Thomas theme - the look on their faces when we walked past the Fat Controller on our way to breakfast was a picture. Very family friendly, we had a brilliant time.

Stayed over the weekend at Drayton Manor and Theme park. Very impressed with the hotel and the park. We were a party of six adults and three children. We ate in the evening at the Brasserie and found enough choice of food to suit all. Food was nicely cooked and the service was attentive. There was a buffet breakfast with a large choice of well cooked food. The staff were pleasant and helpful serving coffee/tea and clearing up after everyone. We were lucky that the weather on both days was very sunny, which always helps to make things feel better. More rides for children than I expected, which was good. I also thought the zoo was small but interesting. The park opened at 9.30am and closed at 5pm when we were there and we could have done with more time. Only one small downside, which is the cost of trying the stalls to win a prize. A charge of £6 for choosing 4 ducks or £2 for throwing two balls into a bucket (they all seemed to bounce out) seemed expensive to me. However, you did not have to use them, but try telling that to my three grandchildren! We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there and it was money well spent.

We were in room number 139 which must have had the worst veiw of all we were looking out of the window stairing at a grey tin sheet roof which totally blocked off any views of the hotels beautiful grounds and gardens. Also shaving socket. In bathroom didn't work, we also requested a baby cot which came without any blankets.

A fantastic place to stay with a grandson aged 2 who is a fan of Thomas. We stayed with our son/wife/grandson for one night and booked a themed room and the character breakfast. All the family enjoyed the whole experience. The only thing we missed was not hiring a train from reception for the tracks around the hotel. Having said that there were plenty of children willing to share, but I would recommend hiring a train set on arrival. The themed room was a big hit with or grandson. The only problem was getting him to leave on our departure day! I suppose the only disappointment was the character breakfast. Really there is only one character in the stories, The Fat Controller, sorry, Sir Topham Hat! All in all, I would though roughly recommend this place for anyone visiting Drayton Park. Excellent staff, clean rooms etc etc.

Room Tip: Children love the themed rooms. Hire a train on arrival.

I am happy your grandson liked our Thomas room. I often get told how they find it difficult to leave, even if they are on their way to Thomas Land! It is nice to see our staff and rooms were of a high quality. Thank you for taking time out to let us know of your stay.
