Take a picnic if you can. Food options not great. Long cues in the morning but by 4 started to quiet down.

“Great family day out!”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

We visited the park on Saturday 16th August with our 3 year old son.
This is our second visit to Drayton Manor and won't be our last. We visited out of season last year and there was no queuing for the rides. However the longest we queued yesterday was 30 mins. Considering it was a Saturday in August this was to be expected and we thought it may be worse. We got to go on all the rides in Thomasland and a handful within the park its self.

When we next visit we will go out of season again as you get to go on the rides multiple times however there was certainly no complaints from my little boy yesterday.

We took our own food this year as we were not overly impressed with the food on offer in the park last year. However there was a lot more open at this time of year and seemed reasonably priced so we would try the food on offer again.

We booked our tickets on line and printed at home. If your doing ticket collection or paying at the gate prepare for the queues to get in! We were able to walk straight to the gate and scanned right in.

There is plenty to do and again we never got round everything in one day.

My only moans are:
1.) The toilets are very dated. They should have a janitor keeping them refreshed and clean at all times as my little boy commented on them being disgusting! This included the sink areas. My comment stands for every set of toilets we visited within the park and I never seen a cleaner / janitor once!

2.) Paying £3 to park the car. You add it to your booking online. However this isn't monitored in anyway no one checked the ticket in or out of the park either visit. An unessasary cost!!

They are in the process of extending Thomasland for 2015.

Overall a great family day out. We will return!

“Good park, let down by poor customer service and rude staff.”
Reviewed 17 August 2014 via mobile

We went on 16/08/2014 as a group of 8 with adults and children of mixed ages. We enjoyed the rides and it was a nice change from the usual Thorpe Park. HOWEVER, there was no customer service whatsoever; the server at the chicken diner where we went for lunch literally huffed at us and looked and spoke like she was fed up, the Usher at the 4D cinema was downright rude when I explained my mum was just at the door across from us and coming in literally 5 seconds - he gave us a nasty look and tried to shoo us away. But the worst part which is probably the point where we decided we would definitely not go back again, was when the assistants on the Ben10 ride allowed 2 people to push in front of us right before we were boarding the ride, and when we raised concerns they gave us extreme attitude which was appalling and completely unacceptable considering we pay their wages! In particular watch put for a girl named Olivia, who I intend to make a formal complaint about regarding this incident.
A couple of other things: the place bus full of locals which consists of unruly, ill mannered children with poor parental supervision, and EVERYBODY smokes, wherever they please, so if you're a non smoker... well let's just say good luck breathing for the day, and if you get lung cancer in later life via passive smoke inhalation, that's probably why.

So to sum up, decent rides but not a customer based company and no rules. Will not be going back again.

“Absolutely great trip for all the family. ”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

We went as a party of seven including 2 young children and several adult thrill seekers. The park had something for everyone. My 5 year old daughter managed to go on 12 rides throughout the day and this was in the middle of august. Hardly any waiting in queues. Probably best to spread over two days if you can. Currently planning our next trip. Can't wait.

Park - very poor, needs updating, money grabbing stalls on every corner, Thomas the Tank closed for the best part of the day whilst works took place in August! - are you for real?? We paid £300 for two nights and two days at the park, absolute rip off and will not visit again. Staff everywhere chatting and ignoring visitors, maybe you should spend more time on your staff and get them to do their jobs then you wouldn't need so many, reduce your staff costs and put some cash back into your facilities? vehicle speeds on site need looking at as we were almost run over whist walking through the zoo on Wednesday morning, Trip hazards behind the serving counters in one of your catering outlets and over spilling bins, we bought food but only because we had no choice, overcooked chicken and poor value for money. if zero out of 5 was an option then that's what you would be getting....
