Owner description: We are a small, family owned childrens farm, which has been operating for over 30 years. We have lots of friendly farm animals, mostly undercover so weather does not cause any problems, we also have The Big Play Barn on site, which is a newly built indoor soft play centre. The Big Play Barn has its owe review page on trip advisor and you can look at their web page and facebook for more info. The farm is Ideal for all visitors who love animals and wish to have close contact with them. Plenty of handwashing facilities, ample free parking and activities throughout the day. The main daily activities include holding a baby chicken and bunny, go on a egg hunt to find a freshly laid egg from the Hen House, sit on the pony or shire horse! We also run the tractor and trailer ride everyday and children get a bucket of feed for the animal (except horses). There are extra activities that we put on thoughout the year and we also put on special events days so look out on facebook page and on our webpage for more info. On our farm we have falconary centre which puts on displays everyday (weather dependant) and we breed our Shire Horses in our Shire Horse Centre. All the activities are included in the farm admission price

We visited for our 2 year old daughters birthday and had a lovely day and she thoroughly enjoyed it. She managed to feed a lamb, held a little chick and stroked a baby duck as well. She also enjoyed the bumpy tractor ride and laughed all the way round. Staff are friendly, and seem to enjoy their work and that relects with their enthusiasm. There was a couple of coach loads of school kids in and it obviously gets very busy but it's a great day out for the little ones.

I went with my daughter and Grandson who has only just starting walking, and was surprised that his ticket was more than an adult one. Many of the activities would be totally unsuitable, such as sitting on a horse and the 'bumpy tractor ride'
The parking is good, however, I did not like the fact we have to queue and enter through the gift shop, not easy with a pushchair, clearly designed to get young ones to use their 'pester' power whilst waiting to get into the farm.
A nice display of the times of all of the events, a simple map would have been useful to find our way around, it was busy and having to negotiate with the pushchair was tiresome. I did mention to the staff that a map would help as it is there are lots of different areas you need to get to in time or you will miss the chance to pet an animal, her response was that 'most people take a photo of the board', hardly helpful as that would still not give you details of where to find things.
You need to have a good plan of what you wish to see and ensure you don't arrive late.
Lunch was rather overpriced and not particularly pleasant, we had panini and chips, would definitely prepare a picnic if I ever went back.
Overall, it was a reasonable day out, however, expensive for what it was and maybe charging less for under threes would be a good idea.
Would I go back, probably not!

Visited again start of easter hols. Directed to a space straight away. Despite a lot of parties on the staff had them in groups going around. My son loves the chickens. This is always our main focus to our visit. He wants to be a chicken farmer! Loves spending time in barn looking at them. He doesnt like crowds and you are allowed to go at your own pace and can drift in and out. Just keep eye on boards and times we came in just in time for each bit of fun. Feedind lambs ect. Except holding chicks obviously we sat and waited for that. Enjoyed trailor and tractor ride this time too. Each time he tries something else. He said he had the bestest day ever. When can we go again.

We had a brilliant day today here. We arrived at 11:30 and left at 16:45, so just under £50 for a day's entertainment for us (2 adults and 4 children) it was well worth it. All the children are animal mad, so they had great fun feeding and petting animals. Luckily it was quiet so we had so many opportunities to have the animals to ourselves. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The children spent hours in the play barn, so the combination of the two were brilliant. Great day out and enjoyed by all of us.
