“Christmas Day at the Waterbridge Uttoxeter”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 December 2013

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Day meal at this venue. Food was excellent and so were the staff. We had 6 guests in our party and we all commented how much we had each enjoyed our meals and how we will certainly be booking for next Christmas. We were allowed small gaps inbetween our courses to allow time to digest, and when we had finished we enjoyed a nice costa coffee to round things off. The price charged is well in keeping with the food and service we enjoyed. Would well recommend this venue for any one looking to book for a Christmas Day or Boxing Day meal.

Thank you very much to all the Staff who made our day so special.

“If they can't make a decent cup of tea, what can they do?”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 December 2013

Called in with a view tro eating after a day at the races, ordered tea for the 'good lady' and i had a pint. The beer was OK but the tea tasted of cleaning fluid or something, it was taken away and remade. The results were equally as revolting, so it was not drunk. We decided that if the tea was not drinkable, then the food might be inedable, so left for somewhere else.

“If you want to wait ages for food then fine!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2013

My husband and I had come here for a meal after a long day travelling and just wanted to have a quick meal and go back to our hotel at Alton Towers to relax. We arrived at 6:30 and after eventually finding a car parking space probably the furthest space possible away from the place were seated at a table with dirty cutlery on it which was sticky and clearly no menus. We were told a member of staff would be with us shortly to re set the table (should this not have been done before we sat down???) We waited for about 10 minutes and eventually someone came and took a drinks order and then preceded to tell us about the menu which we now discovered were on the floor next to our table! My hubby then had to ask the girl if she could bring us some cutlery and napkins and clean the table. The girl came back to clean the table and in the process sprayed my hands with the cleaning spray!!! Anyway the table was clean and we had clean cutlery and napkins. We then ordered our food any the wait begun! We didn't wait to long for starter which was nachos to share but once that had been taken away we waited an eternity for our main meal which was pretty much ok but the chips had obviously been refried and the salad looked like it had seen better days although I didn't intend on eating it anyway. Whilst eating our meal I witnessed the waitress clear one table and reuse cutlery that had been sitting on it whilst the other party that had left were there and she also dropped a napkin on the floor, looked around and then just sat it back on the table. Forgive me if I am wrong but should she not have completely cleared the table then put clean napkins and cutlery fresh on it. The tables round about us were all needing cleared and it seemed like the girl serving us was run off her feet and doing the bar as well as serving and clearing tables. We left the restaurant at 8:10, 1 hour and 40 minutes after arriving!!! for a bowl of nachos and two main meals was very long!

“Friendly staff, but a long wait on food orders”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 October 2013 via mobile

Myself and a friend visited on a Saturday evening whilst returning from a day trip to Nottingham.

It is part of the Table Table restaurant chain.

Pros:
-WiFi free for 30 minutes (registration required)
-Ramp access at entrance
-Clean and well-maintained premises
-Young and friendly staff - Joe who organised our table and Maddie who was our waitress were particularly polite and helpful.
-Plentiful seating from tables for 2 up to tables for 8+. High chairs for toddlers.
-Waitress service, so food orders taken at table.
-Wide range of food options including starters, light bites, salads, classics, fish, sides and grills. Sundaes and puddings for desserts. Sunday lunch. £4.99 daytime deals available Mon-Fri 11:30-6. Kids menu. I ate a Chicken & Ham Pie with jacket potato and peas.
-Coffees and liqueur coffees, plus bar drinks.
-TV on wall (showing ITV1 during my visit)
-Drawing games for children.
-Clean and spacious (men's) toilets.

Cons:
-Parking limited as shared with an adjacent Premier Inn hotel
-35 minute wait on food
-Premises understaffed. However, they were all very professional.
-ATM - £1.75 withdrawal fee
-Christmas display a bit early considering I visited in early October

Notes:
-There's a BP petrol station, plus a Subway, Burger King and Starbucks Coffee adjacent to the pub restaurant/hotel.

“Awful through and through”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 October 2013 via mobile

Horrendous meal here. I wouldn't feed my cat what they served up.

We booked a table after the races for 25 people. They did not sit us all together and the food took over an hour to arrive.
The people who had the carvery said it was worst carvery ever - cold and chewy meat !

All in all and awful experience and I would never step foot in the place again !
