This hotel suited our needs perfectly. We arrived late at night and left at 3am in the morning as we were going on holiday. We were given a sheet of instructions which told us how to get to 'Airparks'. If anyone is thinking of staying in this hotel and using the parking service then I would strongly recommended using Airparks. They were brilliant, helpful and lovely staff.

We decided not to eat in the hotel bar so went to a lovely Indian restaurant called 'The Rising Sun.' We would also highly recommended eating there. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. The staff were also really really polite and made sure we had everything that we wanted.

The things that let the hotel down was that the room was fairly small. I don't think we could have managed staying longer than a few nights. It was hard to move and even harder with a case on the floor, as there was no where to store it. Also, I asked the hotel staff for a sewing kit. This was something small but something I would of expected them to have. Another disappointment was that there was only ONE plug in the room which the TV was plugged into. The bathroom was very small, not particularly clean and the water took forever to run. Could hear airplanes all night long (I suppose fair enough due to the fact it was for airport parking)

Personally will not stay again. Would rather pay more and stay somewhere totally different!!

Booked in for one night as we were catching an early flight next morning. Looked impressive from the outside and reception was welcoming. Room was VERY small and windowless and first round the corner so it was noisy. Glad it was not a holiday stay!!!

Room Tip: take ear plugs!!

Got there after late flight...Ran out the following morning. Creepy. Unclean. Mrusty smell. First room like a homeless hostel.Noisy plumbing. Shower running cold. Dirty tissues under bed. Rooms desperately in need of refurbishment.

So the hotel looks lovely from the outside however in the inside it's very nice until you go to the rooms! Bed springy horrible smell mouldy bathroom. Shower didn't work. It states there is free wifi but there isn't. Staff don't care! No security checks were made on check in! Very noisy in the night time and morning. It might be cheap but it's cheap for a reason!!! Never again would i stay in a hotel like this again it shouldn't be called Russ hill it should be called rough hill!

Surely one night I ask myself it can't be that bad? Well, we arrived and all looked ok from outside. Was very busy with cars and coaches. Checked in swiftly and room not bad to find. Once in the room it was like a prison cell, grime on walls and no windows whatsoever. Musty smelling but I kept telling myself it's just for one night before going off on holiday. You can constantly hear creaking all over property and walls are paper thin. Constant movement all through the night from people leaving to go to airport. There is no soundproofing at all. The drink and food is pricey and dried up. I stayed in onsite airport hotels before and noise has never been an issue. The transfer bus is expensive at £7 each too. Would rather pay the £20 or so more to stay onsite.

Room Tip: Ask for one with windows that's if you can brave the stay

When arriving at the hotel from the outside and reception area we couldn't see anything wrong we then checked in all ok and given our key, our room couldn't of been any further away walking corridor after corridor to get there, our room was small with a very strong smell of damp, the radiators did not work so we had a plug in heater, which when was on made the smell even stronger so we had to bear the cold and it was absolutely freezing. If it wasn't for the fact we didn't arrive till gone 11 and that we had to be at gatwick at 4.30am meaning only a few hours sleep, we would of defiantly asked to move rooms. Luckily we didn't need to shower but if we had to it would of been a struggle to fit under the shower head as it was at a low and awkward height and angle. All in all we would not stay here again our room was small, cold, smelly and could do with a refurbishment asap!!!

Last year I stayed at an alternative hotel for a little more money. When booking this I compared the pictures with an alternative and thought I had a bargain. However this is the 3 star as advertised. Don't be fooled by photos. Nothing contemporary nor authentic. Old 1970s. Tired and basic. Old TV tiny baths and showers. Scruffy tiles. Ill fitting doors, paper thin walls, smoker smelling rooms. I swapped 3 times before accepting. Value is in the eye of the beholder, I appreciate that. But I stay in a lot of hotels and a travelodge would offer more by way of your bedroom. The authentic lobby is as advertised but restaurant barely pub level. Drinks are typical hotel prices but with cafe panache . No style to match the price. Suits it's purpose but better value at other hotel/air parking venues

Room Tip: Ask for new room
