Although shabby on the outside, the interior was lovely and the room cleanliness excellent. Very comfortable bed. Very helpful reception staff. It was a very busy hotel especially with departures at early hours but disruption was minimal. We stayed for 3 days as we were touring the area. We were picking up a relative from an early flight arrival on the last morning.
We will certainly stay again.

It was in the middle of nowhere through narrow winding lanes and difficult to find. Our room was on the ground floor past the restaurant and round a few corners. The room was old and the walls marked and dirty where the marks had been painted but not blended in with the rest of the room. I cut my foot on the metal tread walking down the stairs to the sofa bed as the nail was protruding. The window would not shut properly and as we were on the ground floor with our suitcases quite a worry. There was a fan outside our window which kept blowing on and off all night. The sofa bed was horrendous. There was a dent in the middle of it from top to bottom and it creaked all night. In the end my daughter got in my bed with my youngest and we shared a double bed. As you can imagine not a good start to the holiday as we were cramped and had a dreadful night sleep. Very poor quality hotel.

Room Tip: Don't bother

Stayed overnight, with parking, before we flew out of gatwick for two weeks .the rooms are small on the ground floor, shabby urgently needs updating,no wifi.evening meal the meat was very dry, breakfasts weren't too bad,but having to use thermos flasks,to get your tea and coffee.
We will not be staying here again.the rooms were very claustrophobic and the air vent kept me awake and we never had any windows.

Room Tip: Before you book ..ask for a room with windows.

We stayed at this hotel over the Bank Holiday as part of a coach trip to the Chelsea Flower Show and has been mentioned previously this is not a posh hotel. Then again you are not paying posh prices. It looks like a fairly old hotel but it is comfortable. The rooms could do with decorating but are nice and clean as is the bathroom and linen. There was a small tv, wardrobe, plenty of drawer space and tea & coffee tray. We had no complaints about breakfast which had the usual cereals, toast and several cooked items which was more than adequate for us. Dinner had a choice of several roasts and on the first night I had the most beautiful turkey that I've had for many a year and the second night was roast pork which again was beautifully cooked. It would have made more sense for the hotel to stagger the evening meals as there were several coach tours in which unfortunately meant long queues and unhappy guests. The was a nice bar with friendly bar staff and when this was full there was several other rooms to take your drink.

To sum up we had a clean room, good quiet nights sleep and didn't go hungry so if you want a cheap airport hotel with good parking try this one. But remember if you're looking for posh and perfect pay a lot more and go elsewhere.

Room Tip: Second floor at the back of the hotel

Staff were rude, one waitress tried to walk through me and the same woman decided to take my girlfriends plate while she was still eating her meal (which was a poor attempt at a carvery) we ended up ordering a take away due to lack of choice and not catering for children when it comes to the food.
The room itself was small with no plug sockets for charging our phones, while looking around for a socket i discovered what looked like 20 years worth of dust all around the back wall that was poorly hidden by the tv unit.
One of the lights didnt work and the shower was stuck at a low height and couldnt be adjusted!
All in all this is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in!!

This hotel is part of the Britannia Hotels group. The rooms are tiny, and at check in they add 2 pounds ($3.40) for paying by credit card - that's nearly a 4% price hike. Wifi isn't available in the rooms (c'mon it's 2014 not 1994) the TV is the kind you used to buy for the one in the kitchen (although it did have a pleasingly large selection of channels). good point - there is a full size bath. Buy breakfast when you check in to get a sizable discount, and it's a good size full English breakfast. However, there are coach parties in the hotel (i.e. noisy groups). As a place to kip for the airport it was acceptable (with a rental car though or the coach costs a massive 7 pounds each or $12) but it was a case of you get what you pay for.
