This small hotel which used to be called something else has been totally refurbished and has all the modern conveniences plus country style décor. Comfortable and well equipped bedrooms looking out over the garden. I used I as I was staying up with family nearby over Christmas, and could not have been made to feel more welcome and cared for. I did not eat a main meal, but the breakfast was modern buffet style, with the option of simple choice of cooked. Happy to recommend and certainly stay there again.

My husband and i recently celebrated his 40th birthday at the Bel and Dragon - the dining room and bar are stylish and unfussy which made us feel very relaxed.
The staff were very attentive and gave a good recommendation for our main course of pork. My dish was very tasty, however my husband's had too much fat and should have received a little more attention in the kitchen.
The bar man gave informative and friendly suggestions for our night caps. Our bedroom was delightful - enormous comfortable bed with fresh crisp linen. We particularly liked the vast shower with rain shower head.
Some lovely touches - particularly the Damson vodka awaiting us in the room.
A most welcome break - we felt like we'd been away for days and will definitely be back.

Had dinner for the first time since it was taken over by the new owners. It is lovely inside, cosy log fires and comfy areas to sit in. Staff are great fun and attentive and we loved the chalk board table which you can draw on. Sadly the food lacked the wow factor. Good sized starters of squid and whitebait but the latter needed some tartare sauce or Mayo to give it some flavour. It was bland. Similar experience with the mains - the rabbit casserole was very rich but needed more seasoning. Same story with the suckling pig and we felt two small slices and a few roast potatoes didn't warrant the £18 price tag. With a bit more thought this could all be easily rectified but we felt it was over priced and lacked flavour. Let's hope it improves as the area needs a decent eating place.

I stayed recently at this lovely, renovated and beautifully decorated hotel, which turned out to be a very pleasant suprise nestled in the Surrey countryside.

Away from the hustle and bustle, the hotel has a lovely bar with a very talented cocktail maker - Sunny even managed a little trick with a bottle of red wine! Dinner in the restaurant was delicious - I enjoyed crispy light whitebait to start, followed by roast duck which just melted in the mouth. The wine list was extensive but not over-priced ....

I ended my evening snuggling down in the most comfortable bed with the freshest linen and a lovely mound of soft pillows. I felt thoroughly spoilt!

Everybody should make time to visit the B&D Churt - just sit, relax, eat, enjoy the excellent service, sleep, recuperate and let Mike and his team spoil you.

We stayed here recently and had a really great evening. The staff were incredibly welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, the food absolutely delicious and the cocktails to die for (try the Expresso Martini!) The restaurant and bar were buzzy with a great atmosphere and the accommodation cosy and relaxing.
Breakfast in the morning was excellent and we then ventured across the road (literally!) to an amazing sculpture park in woodland - the 2 hour walk was a great way to clear the head on a lovely Autumn morning.
I would highly recommend this hotel - one of a small group and all the ones I have tried I have loved. Enjoy!

We stayed two nights at Bel and the Dragon, Churt and were very pleasantly surprised at the warmth of the staff and the cosy and attractive interior. We liked the decorative touches such as the book shelves full of quirky and interesting books. The combination of modern colours happily combined with the quaintness of the interior was achieved in a successful way.The staff made us very welcome and the food was imaginatively presented and delicious. Over all we would definitely recommend this to our friends and indeed plan a trip with friends in 2014.
