“Comfortable one night stay”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2012

We stayed for one night in Jurys Inn in Croydon during the London Olympics. It was easy to access by train from London Bridge station and the trains were quite frequent. The hotel itself was close to East Croydon railway station which was handy. We had a family room which was quite compact but has everything we needed for an overnight. The sofa bed for the kids was quite small but ok and the main double bed was nice. The shower was lovely and hot and strong. We ate in the bar in the evening and the food was quite good and wasn't too expensive. The staff were pleasant and helpful. When we asked for a bucket of wine for our wine, they didn't have one but improvised. When we complained that one of the kids sausages was a little hard they brought us two fresh ones. We selected this hotel because it was available at a reasonable price during the Olympics and fitted the four of us. I would have thought being so far outside London was a disadvantage. But actually it was so easy to get to by train that I would stay here again while visiting London.

This hotel has as an ideal location for all shoppers as it is just across the street the Whitgift shioppingcentre. The rooms are big and clean. Short distance to East Croydon railwaystation which makes it easy to get to sentral London, Gatwick airport and different seaside resorts.

A lack cupboard space in the rooms. Traficnoise in some rooms.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room away from the buzy road

This is a really nicely located for shopping in Croydon and staff are very nice and attentive, the rooms are well appointed for a three-star hotel, buth the bathtubs are a joke. You can not get water deeper than 25cms (10 inches) and I was unable to get more than 30 percent of my body into the water at any time. No noise problems even though there are busy streets around the hotel, at least not in our room on the ninth floor. Did not have breakfast and no other meals either, so I cannot comment on the food. At 59 pounds per night booked on the chain's wesite, this was excellent value for money. Will stay again next time in London.

I found the staff to be more friendly than I expected from a busy London hotel which was nice. We stayed in order to go to the tennis at Wimbledon and it was ideally located. The tram is approx 5 mins walk outbound but on the way back it stops virtually outside the hotel door. The rooms were adequate. They don't do twin rooms though, just doubles plus a sofa bed if required. Breakfast was a little chaotic but it had everything you need. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and I thought that it was a good 3 star experience.

Just got back from a nice stay at the Jury's Inn in Croydon.
The rooms are extraordinarily spacious for the London standards, and same applies for the bathrooms.I would have preferred a shower cabin, though. No hairdryer, which I found quite odd.
The breakfast, either continental or full English, was simply awesome: well cooked and abundant.
Although being far from the city centre, it was brilliantly connected by overground even at night.
I fully recommended it.
