“Fantastic family day out!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014

Never a dull moment and so much to see. The Palace is so easy to get to from central London and great value for money. The audio gives as much info as needed to keep your tour moving and well informed -with an option of greater detail if you want it. Everything is brought to life with the brilliant actors, Henry VIII, King William etc, storming around the place giving out orders, arguing in role, involving the visitor in the intrigues of the day. Well set out and easy to negotiate.
The gardens are stunning and a fabulous spot for a family picnic.
We spent well over 4 hours here and could have spent longer.
Only negative is that the cafes were very expensive - take your own picnic.

“Excellent value for money Hampton court Palace”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 August 2014

Our visit lasted from 10am until 6pm at which we had only explored the Henry VIII exhibitions, privy garden and the great vine. The audio tour and human guides were extremely helpful and made the day. Great for youngsters as cloaks were available for them to dress up and interactive displays were also available in some sections.
Historical re enactments featuring Henry VIII and Thomas Coalpepper added to the enjoyment of the visit.
Cannot wait to visit again to see the maze and Georgian exhibitions.
Thoroughly recommend.

“need more than a day to see everything!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 August 2014

Sunday visit, arrived by train at 9.30am. Train station is a 5 minute walk and there is also a bus stop right outside the palace. So great public transport links.
Big tip, Use the human guides in each room! They are extremely knowledgeable and are very happy to chat. We didn't use the audio guides as they are slightly anti social and less interactive. an audio guide wont be able to answer all the little questions you have. Nothing beats human interaction.
Don't expect to see everything in one visit. I just don't think its humanly possible. We spent 7 hours there and barely got to see any of the gardens and missed a few rooms inside. But at least that leaves something for next time.
Facilities, plenty of toilets, 3 cafes, lots of picnic space and 3 or 4 gift shops. We ate in one of the cafes. 2 hot chocolates, a bacon bap and a egg and cress sandwich = £12.00. Then later on 2 teas and two tiny tubs of ice cream = £9.50.
This palace is a must for history fanatics and anyone interested in architecture, art and tapestry.

Price included audio guide and everything was done very well? It does take 4 hours to get around as it's so interesting.
