Huge and very beautiful complex set amidst stunning grounds and ornate gardens. Was interesting to see how surprisingly civilised life seemed. Some very modern facilities even. We wandered around many rooms and buildings. Displays and reproductions as well as some genuinely old artefacts on show in the kitchens, storage rooms and eating halls were excellent. The Chapel was beautiful and tranquil if not also pause for thought considering Henry VIII's debauched behaviour and cruelty. Staff and guides were very helpful and friendly.

The gift shop was very good.

We travelled from London by train and bus and returned in the afternoon by Thames cruiser to Kingston. A fabulous experience and we went through a lock which was interesting as was the opportunity to see beautiful properties along the Thames. Richmond was very pretty and we had an enjoyable lunch at a Pub across the road from Hampton Court, The White Swan.

The palace was very old and incredible, worth spending the time to explore and enjoy including the beautiful gardens.

Beautiful palace and gardens
A great place to see
Great frescos and painted ceilings
A real Tudor feel to it
Kitchens very interesting
Kids enjoyed it too
Garden was lovely also
The audio should be linked automatically to the rooms though as gets hard to follow
The cafe is a bit pricey and runs out of components to dishes
Mushy peas were gone for pies
A well worth while visit though and highly recommended
Palace priced ok but parking is extra
Recommended

I was really looking forward to go to hampton court, but when i went there were many empty rooms hardly any staff to ask questions, the gardens are lovely. When i go to a historic place i want to walk back in time and feel like im there in that period but with very little in the rooms i wasnt able to. I was left a little disappointed.
