I love The Mute Swan's atmosphere and staff are really lovely and helpful (also prosecco by the glass woop) - but I must admit I found the food quote dull and overpriced for what it is, although my friends said their food was excellent so maybe it's just me!
would recommend definitely! lovely décor and large variety of drink!

Came here with friends for lunch without a reservation. We found a table quickly. The good was lovely and the staff are great! Highly recommended!

After a couple of hours exploring Hampton Court we crossed the street to have lunch.
We chose The Mute Swan.
The service was friendly and courteous and we got a table in the lower pub area.
The beer selection is terrific and the food was very good.
The haddock and chips along with their house beer was a great lunch.
The place fills quickly at lunch and several would be diners could not find a seat.
Too bad for them.
We would certainly return.

We'd heard that this restaurant was under new ownership and decided to test it out as a family. We weren't expecting much more than a pub lunch, but we were very pleasantly surprised.
The food is all cooked in house, and is extremely delicious. A step up from your regular pub menu but not astronomical in price. We went with our three year old, so had to sit upstairs away from the bar.
Staff were pleasant and friendly although it was a Sunday evening and service was a little slow.
We would definitely return :-)

Firstly I would suggest it is better as a pub and restaurant sort of place that it was previously as Bluebeckers where the focus seemed to be more on the restaurant aspect. They have certainly made the transition well, and are now fully taking advantage of their location, opposite the gates of Hampton Court Palace. Heading into summer they will also be able to take advantage of the nice seating areas outside which was very nice on the evening I visited with some friends. They have a good range of beer and wine too, and most importantly friendly staff.
