Lovely, quiet hotel. Friendly staff. Large, clean room with balcony. Close enough to the town of Farnham but feels like your in the country! Very nice breakfast too! We very much enjoyed our stay :)

Went up to our room (No. 25) to find the tinyest double bed I've ever seen in a hotel. The room was also very small considering there were two adults and two children staying in it, the decor in the room was dated and the bathroom tatty. We ended up with my husband sleeping on one of the childrens Z-beds and I shared the double with one of the children. There was only a cold shower on offer in the morning, as the hot water wasn't running to our room and we needed to get ready to go to our friends wedding, so couldn't wait indefinatey for them to fix the problem. The shower head had to be proped up with tissue paper to stop it from slumping back down to shower the wall. I'm sure you're getting the picture! After seeing some of the rooms of our friends who were also staying at the hotel we felt even worse, as all of there's seemed to be refurbished, yet we were still being charged the same rate and extra for the children.

Sorry but room 25 is not sold as a superior room and was allocated as one of only two rooms that can accommodate 2 child beds and the adult bed is a standard double. Sorry you had problems with water we still can't replicate that problem and the room has since been refurbished, it was one of the last we had to do.

Booked a superior room which was basic. The ensuite shower room was very cramped with badly fitting wood effect lino curling at the edges. Room 19 had a balcony but unfortunately the door would not lock and blew open frequently during the night resulting in practically no sleep. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and staff efficient and friendly. Breakfast provided very little choice with no fresh fruit and tasteless coffee. Paid £101 for B&B - very overpriced.

Thank you for your comments. Room 19 has a bathroom not a shower room – so I’m a little confused. The room is superior by virtue of it being larger than average for a 3 star hotel and has a balcony, other than tea and coffee facilities, flat TV with multi channels, nice bed and duvets we can only change the décor, which we have only just done. We are sorry about the balcony door which we fixed immediately you let us know, if only we had known the night before. The coffee is Dough Egberts but we shall review that weekend's breakfast and thanks for your feedback.

I stayed in this hotel as a guest / photographer at a friends wedding, arriving late on Friday night after an appalling 7 hour journey I was very pleasantly suprised by this small and welcoming hotel. My room was spotless and lovely and the whole place was charming. The staff are worth their weight in gold and really tried hard to make everyone feel welcome and well cared for. My friend had a wonderful wedding, the staff, the food, the ambience and the location could not be faulted. Everyone worked hard to make her day special and as a photographer it was a dream of a place to take photographs in, lots of purpose made locations to choose from to stop the photographs being too 'samey' . The only gripe I had was being unable to pick up broadband despite it being a 'T-mobile' hot spot. In this day and age the hotel would do well to provide free Wi-Fi to all guests especially if they are offering conference facilities to business people. Apart from that I cannot think of any other reasonable gripe. The hotel is quite simply a little gem.

Room Tip: dont rely on the advertised broadband facilites.

I almost always stay at the Farnham house hotel when on business in the the UK and in Hampshire. Its set back from the main road so you do not get woken by lorries or other service van at 5am. Staff are friendly, food is good and in the summer if you can get in for all the weddings the garden is great to sit in for a beer.

Anyone from abroad you wants the real taste of England should visit.

Recommend it to all my friends and family

we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for a wedding and have to say that the location was lovely, the staff were very friendly and efficient (although at times could have done with a greater number) and the food very good. the wedding was very well organised and went like clockwork.

Driving up to the hotel, it looked wonderful, very disappointed once we got up to our room.

We stayed in room No.15, which was appalling, the room is old, bathroom dirty with chipped sink, very hard to use the toilet, due to the slope in the ceiling, you had to bend backwards to get close. Access to bedroom very steep stairs, which are dangerous

Air flow pipe off the roof, outside our bedroom window every morning @ 6.00, would whistle to release the pressure.

When asked to change room, was advised they had nothing else to give us, which is a shame as we would have stayed at this hotel again, as attended training at the The National Flood School which is only down the road. Myself & my staff will be attending further courses next year & we now have to find another hotel to use.

This room should not be used for guests.

We are sorry that we were unable to move you to a better room, the issues raised are being addressed and in the meantime we are selling this room last and when reservations are made direct we advise guests of the sloping ceiling and that it is up a further staircase.
