Stayed at the Princess Royal as my husband and I were going to see band nearby and we are not local to the area. Got there early evening so we could have something to eat before we went out. Food was fab - would definitely recommend the fish and chips. The room was a good size and very clean. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was great and there was a good choice- my poached eggs were yum and the full English assisted my husband getting over his hangover! Overall a good experience and would definitely stay again - agree with other reviews to get a room on the upper floor due to creaky floorboards.

Room Tip: Don't have a ground floor room- floorboards a little creaky!

We stayed one day to attend a funeral. The hotel was clean and the rooms 5 was spacious.
Breakfast was very good. The only downside was the bed it was AWFUL it had gone in the middle and we had to try and sleep on the very edge !!!

Room Tip: check the bed out first

We chose to stay here while visiting our son in Haslemere. It is like a 4 star hotel, the rooms were very clean and spacious, the breakfast was excellent, and the staff were so polite and friendly, it made us feel that we should go there again. The pub section was well kept, but I thought the drinks a little pricey. Overall, though, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: We had room 15, which is an end room.

We were going to a wedding the following day locally and chose The Princess Royal for its location. We had a good welcome and found our rooms in the annex. They were warm and spacious with a very comfy bed and lovely pillows...rooms weren't particularly clean though. The whole place needed a good Hoover and fixtures and fittings were a bit tired and often damaged. Good strong shower although I did manage to flood the bathroom as the jet went everywhere! Ample free parking was a bonus. The staff in the restaurant were very good and the food was good. Breakfast was served in the bar area and was included in the price...the all you can eat continental part was virtually non existent except for some jam...otherwise it was just crumbs on empty plates. Cooked breakfast was served at the table and was fine. All in all - good value? Yes I think so.

We were going to Southampton and decided to break the trip at Farnham. The hotel had been recommended by a local friend. We had bed and breakfast for £79. It was a lovely room in the annex on the second floor spacious and spotless. The food was very nice and the staff attentive and eager to please. Drinks and wine were reasonably priced. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others.

Stayed here in April 2014 while visiting relatives in Farnham.
Location-wise the hotel is on the edge of town. Probably not an easy walk in as there is a dual carriageway between the hotel and central Farnham, but it is only around a 5 min drive.
We actually chose the hotel because it offered free parking which several other hotels in town couldn't guarantee.
Hotel is an annex building behind the Princess Royal pub. Good sized room, spotlessly clean. It reminded me a lot of a Premier Inn in terms of styling.
Bit of an issue with noise, both from the incredibly squeaky floorboards (glad we chose an upstairs room!) and the dual carriageway outside, which while not overbearingly loud might be a problem for light sleepers.
Princess Royal itself seemed a decent place for a drink prior to heading into Farnham itself and I thought the breakfast options served in the pub restaurant and included in the price of the room, were excellent.

Room Tip: Choose an upstairs room so you don't have to listen to creaking floorboards above your head.
