Our new Battersea rescue dog doesn't like being left so we visited The Holly Bush the first time as it came up when we searched for dog friendly pubs. Took my elderly mother there today with dog husband and son. The staff are lovely and friendly and efficient. We waited a while for our food as two larger groups had ordered just before us, but we didn't mind as we were there to relax and were happy chatting; besides, the food is freshly cooked and you expect to wait a bit. Shortly after we arrived one of the staff came with biscuits for our dog, asking first if it was alright for her to have them - gave the dog one and left the rest with us. Thought this was a lovely touch. Very much enjoyed the food - the burger my husband had was amazing. They had run out of one of the main ingredients for the dish my mother and son had ordered so discussed with them how it could be adapted and then knocked £4 off the price of each - great service and value for money. The pub is open from early morning to late evening serving breakfast, coffee & cake, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner etc. and so is a good place to spend with friends and family at any time of day. We sat inside today but there is a lovely covered terrace and a garden and dogs are welcome in any area of the pub. They also cater well for children with a huge box of Lego to keep them amused.

We decided to take a drive out after visiting friends in haslemere. Came across this pub and we were not disappointed. We both had s main course which we were happy with. I'd like to go back and try the brunch menu which looked great too. Nice outdoor seating, some covered I think. I'd definitely go back.
( I wouldn't normal mention this but it was so unusual for both girls behind bar not to smile. They did their job well but girlies put a smile on your face 😄)

This is such a cool place to visit any time. The food is always good, staff friendly and the atmosphere really chilled whilst still maintaining efficient service. There's nowhere else quite like it locally so we always seem to find ourselves there.

We go to the Holly bush quite often. Been there mostly for breakfast. Service is really slow and there isn't a friendly face of staff in sight. Last we went as a family for lunch with my mother in law who is 88 from London. The son of the Owner was at the till when my husband was ordering and he forgot to look at the table number but thinking that the " son of the owners" must know all the tables, my husband just told him where we sat and if that's ok. He then asked us to leave the pub for not knowing the number of the table. Very very rude Man indeed. We are also restauranteurs and would never ever treat customers like that. Our children go to a school near by and will make sure none of the other parents go there and suppose this local pub.

Took drink order at bar and server disappeared - perhaps we should have taken note then.
Food satisfactory but no more - service improved during meal but couldn't get excited and overall a good evening with friends in an average environment with average standard of food.
