I booked this hotel a month in advance, directly with the manager/owner. Five days before my stay, I received a phone call from the hotel saying they would have to cancel my booking. No reason was given, no offer of compensation and no advice on an alternative. They also claimed they had tried to text me and got no reply, but there were no texts on my mobile. It might be a lovely place if you are lucky enough to get to stay there, but I can only give it one star due to this experience. This hotel is also known as the Kingston B&B.

We stayed at Artists Villa for two nights whilst visiting family in Kingston. The location is great - 3 minutes walk to Norbiton station where you can then be in central London in half an hour, the house is 15 minutes walk to the centre of Kingston. Parking by meter in the week but free Friday night, and all weekend - there were no shortage of spaces.
Ingrid was happy to accommodate our arrival time at noon.
We had the twin bedded room - spacious, warm, clean, very comfortable beds and lovely bedding, towels provided. We didn't book breakfast but were able to help ourselves to hot drinks in the kitchen at any time. The bathroom is shared but this was never a problem.
This is not a B&B in the traditional sense - you are sharing a home, but there is everything you need in very nice surroundings. Recommended!

I have stayed in this B&B for 6 nights and due to stay again in a few weeks. It's an excellent bed and breakfast, rooms are beautiful, warm, cosy and the bathroom is excellent. A few minutes walk from the station it's an ideal location for business travellers.

The house is beautiful and Ingrid is lovely and welcoming. My partner and I stayed here for 3 days in July. We felt very comfortable and at home. We stayed in the front bedroom, which is very spacious, with a lovely king size bed. Nice continental breakfast, thankfully, as I can't cope with a fried breakfast in the morning. Loved the art and ceramics! I've stayed in lots of B&Bs, and this has to rank among the best!

Artists Villa is literally a tourist's villa... within 200 meters of this B&B there is the Norbiton Train station, 2 or 3 bus stops and numbers of restaurants (Thai/ Lebanese/ Chinese/ English..etc.) and grocery stores. In side this Victorian Age house it is surprisingly full of colours and contrasts...arts and crafts.... lights and shadows.. it is indeed "Charmingly Beautiful"!!

About comfort, the room that my office booked for me for my 6 nights stay was the roadside one at 1st floor... as wide as 15 feet and as long as 18 to 20 feet... decorated with two adjoining single beds,..one sofa.. one reading table.. and chair.. wardrobe.. a large size cupboard.. lamps and sheds... and a high resolution LED/LCD tv.. with three windows!

The best part was the Bathroom/ Toilet... or should I call that a mini gallery.. every single thing inside was artistic.. hand crafted.. shiny. Most amazing was the enormous mirror..!

And, on the adjacent road, you will hardly find any vehicles moving..! So, throughout my 6 days stay I found it as a pretty quite place and thus had good sleep all the ways.

Continental breakfast was alright.. and can enjoy the huuuuuuuge book and video collections by the Artist Ms. Ingird.. herself! There is a biiig screen TV at the living room.. and the kitchen is also open for fulltime.. and again full of colours and all necessary things with in reach..!

The backyard got few comfortable easy chairs.. with trees and plants... including a plum and chestnut tree... a good place to breath easy..

I am so glad that my office arranged this place for me... Here comes the best part.... as I had 2 luggage with me (1 was big).. it became difficult for me to go to the train station walking.. And, the land lady.. Ms. Ingrid was so generous that she by herself dropped me to the station with her own car!!

I wish a long, healthy and very happy life for Ms. Ingrid, the owner of Artists Villa and highly recommend it for any short/ long term stay... if you think about Kingston..!!

Room Tip: You may think about the Road side room at 1st floor... it is the one!

This B&B is very very nice! Somebody wrote a comment that 'Ingrid plays her own music' Yes but that music is a very pleasant thing: Jazz, Blues. The guest room - larger front is marvelous.
Shared bathroom is not a problem. Nice continental breakfast with excellent coffee. Thoroughly recommended!
