Average hotel ok rooms but chicken curry on the menu is not authentic as claimed. Also be careful with taxis they order for you even if you go to the local train station which is a 2 minute journey you'll get charged £10. And you'll only find out at the station.

Thank you very much for your review
The cost of a taxi is the cost of a taxi we make no profit from it we simply provide a service to our guests by making the call and booking a taxi for them .

I am slightly surprised by your comments about the curry we are complimented regularly about the curry we serve, it is made by an Indian chef I am not sure how much more authentic you can get.

We have stayed here previously when we have been to Twickenham to watch rugby matches & knew what to expect of the standard of the hotel. It was near enough as good as before although but some things let it down. Although the staff were very helpful in whatever we asked for some things should be done without this. Breakfast was of a good standard but not as good as on our previous visits. More attention needs to be given as to what is laid out on the tables IE lack of milk no salt & pepper silly little things that add up - some of hot food was cold and had to ask for eggs that were not scrambled!! Also need to provide diners with the real cereal for breakfast such as Kellogs and not substandard. Plus point was that staff were very attentive and soon fulfilled our requests for whatever reason. Bedroom was in a great location but again attention to detail needs to be paid. Bedding was all of the place especially the valance which looked very untidy and also maybe another petty thing but lack of sugar for hot drinks and water bottle was only replenished for one person. We will stay at this hotel again and hopefully enjoy yet another great stay. Location for nearby venues is very good without bus stop outside and free car parking and if don't want to eat in restaurant good pub food 10 minute walk away.

Room Tip: Before arriving I specifically asked for a very quiet room as we have stayed at this hotel on severa...

Stayed here pre and post wedding in Richmond Park - conveniently only a few minutes away.
Staff all very friendly and helpful , service was very good. Loved the soft Irish accents - " could I have coffee please?" "course you can" .
Plenty of parking and free. Sun trap in the central courtyard.
Made the whole wedding startup less stressful.

Spent the weekend of 11th April there - didn't eat there because we love exploring and eating out, but room was great, staff were friendly and charming, and it's a great spot to head out from to the Thames, Hampton Court Palace, Richmond, Barnes, Kew, etc....and a large, free car park with a bus stop just outside. It was perfext for us!

My son had his wedding reception at Brook Kingston Lodge on 20th of April 2013. It's taken me a year to write this over due review! As my son and his wife are blind I organised the wedding and the help and advice I received from the staff at BKL was fantastic. From the moment the guests arrived until the end of the evening everything went to plan. The reception drinks and canapés served were plentiful and delicious. The main meal was cooked to perfection and the portions generous and the timing in between each course was perfect. The waiting staff and especially the General Manager, Geraldine, were very professional and couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful. My son and daughter-in-law were absolutely thrilled with their special day. Everyone had a fantastic time and we couldn't fault a single thing. Mary Wilson

In 25 years of travelling on business I have never encountered such a shambolic establishment. Having eaten half my cheesecake I found that the biscuit base was actually mouldy. Yes....bright green mold. At first the restaurant manager went to check if "chef" had put any cheese in it! Then he attempted to justify it and say it had only been made 2 days ago! Then he said that mistakes happen!

He then had the cheek to say that he would not charge me!

When I said there was nothing he could give me that would ever make up for eating good that was decomposing he didn't know what to say and re appeared a few minutes later with a more senior person. Who also did not know what to say it do, other than offer to buy me a drink!!

Avoid this establishment at all costs. I was on business and this was booked through a reputable business travel firm. Who knows what else is going on here.

Having a wedding or event - then be prepared to have your guests and yourselves ill.

Shocked and feeling quite ill at the events this evening.

Avoid at all costs.

20 min walk to the park, 45 min walk to the Thames riverside view. Pleasant staff, on the whole. Service reasonable. Rooms small but adequate. Cleaner did take my jacket thinking I had checked out and handed it in as left behind property?! Breakfast a little hit and miss. Ok for brief stay.
