We stay here regularly on our trips to London, the hotel has undergone renovation and the rooms are stunning, still the quirky Tudor charm they have always had but just modernised, each of the rooms has a different theme. So refreshing to the usual 100+ room hotel where the rooms are identical. The owner and staff always make me feel welcome and occasionally give me a free upgrade when they can! Which is a lovely touch! They go above and beyond the standard customer service and the rooms are always clean and well stocked with tea, coffee and toiletries etc. They were fully booked once and I had to stay at another hotel, awful! Now I book in advance! Highly recommend!

We cannot fault this place for convenience, comfort, cleanliness, atmosphere, staff.
It is a gem of a place, nothing is too much trouble for owner and staff, we were made very welcome and had a fantastic 2 day stay in this beautiful and charming hotel. Classy soft furnishings, very comfy bed, fluffy towels, everything is tastefully decorated to a high standard, and that includes the reception area, the sitting room (can only imagine how lovely it will be in winter with a fire burning!) and the lovely bright conservatory where breakfast is served.
Wifi is free, there is a secure access code and you can get a parking permit from the hotel for on the road parking in what is a very quiet, secure and residential area.
We went to see U2 at Twickenham on the saturday night , were kindly advised by Sandy to take the train, a straigthforward 5 minutes walk to Hampton Wick station, and the return direct on the nightbus. 2 minutes walk into Kingston...
All in all we had a fabulous weekend.
We will definitely from now on stay there again any time we travel to London

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the years and my trips to London. I found the reception staff to be such a wonderful group of people. They always offer me tea or coffee and make sure I'm looked after. They must have a had a refurb lately because the room I stayed in recently was beautiful. Lionheart it was called.

I must thank Denise on reception especially. She always makes me feel so welcome.

Thanks again Chase Lodge

My partner and I have stayed before and are always glad to stay again. We have fun in the area and this is always our first choice to stay at. The staff are very welcoming and the service is very personal and not at all like your big hotel chains. Breakfast was great and we we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks once again!

We booked this hotel for five of us as we had a family wedding locally.
We booked one double for myself and my husband. Another double for our daughter and her partner and a single for my second daughter. Upon arrival we were greeted and shown to our rooms. Both of the doubles were lovely. Beautiful decor and very spacious. We then followed my daughter and she was shown to her single room.
I have never been so appalled In my life. The room was outside down a tiny path away from all of ours rooms. It looked like a converted shed with ladders all around. We were told to mind the ladders as there was some building work going on. On opening the room door we were hit with the strongest stench of damp I have ever encountered and the ceiling looked like it was about to fall in. My daughter looked like she was about to cry. No one should have to sleep in a place like that let alone pay to sleep in it. Therefor I complained to the lady on reception. She told me she was sorry the room wasn't to our 'taste' this infuriated me more that she simply couldn't see this room was in habitable. There were no other rooms available that night in the hotel and other local hotels were booked therefor my husband offered to sleep in there and my daughter with me as I was simply not happy for her to be in there alone. As you can imagine he had the worst nights sleep ever and to top it off the bright security light outside kept him awake due to no curtains !

The day after we were then met with more problems. On looking through my bank account I realised that another sum of money had suddenly been taken the day before from the hotel. We had already paid for the rooms a couple of weeks ago on booking. Therefor our card details must have been kept on record and used to process this amount without our permission ! Knowing someone can have that freedom of access to my details is very worrying. We questioned this amount and why it had been taken the day of arrival and no permission asked. To be told they had miss calculated the amount for all the rooms so had to take more money. She then carried on to explain how the hotel doesn't make much money ect which frankly is none of my business and highly unprofessional.

And to top it all off the management and staff are the rudest group of people I have ever met. They need some serious customer service training on how to be polite to guests. Then on leaving we realised my daughter had left a very expensive bottle of shampoo and conditioner in the room. We called up to ask if they can keep it as our relatives live very close and could collect it only to be told that they do not keep people's belongings left in the room. I even said it was only a couple of hours ago the bins must be not that full to be told someone would contact me ! Which is hilarious as she didn't even ask what room I was staying in and what my name is.

The whole experience was a disaster !
I would never come back and stay here again. No wonder it is so very cheap.

Anyone who has worked in the hotel industry or similar will understand that you can not please all of the people all of the time. Had this not have been a wedding and a special day we would have personally found you an alternative hotel from the onset, clearly from the very beginning the was going to be no pleasing you. We tried so very hard to give you a warm welcome and a pleasant stay and at every turn you made this very difficult for all members of staff. All the staff were very disappointed to read your comments about them and in fact another guest overheard our receptionist, Sandy, whilst she was serving you complimentary tea and coffee and commented about how well Sandy dealt with your complaints. I would ask anyone reading this to please read many of the other reviews and to come to your own conclusion.
