Out of Order is an art installation in Kingston upon Thames.
It's a series of 12 old fashioned red phonebox's that are laid out as though they have fallen against each other.
Though not the most exciting it's worth a look at if you are in Kingston.
It's very close to the train and bus station and almost right in the town centre.

We were in Kingston for he recent rugby match between Australia and Wales and when we saw these phone boxes all toppling over it just made us laugh. Worth going to Kingston just to see them

I wouldn't make a special trip top see the boxes, but have a look if you are in the area. Be aware, these are not functioning phone boxes!

They have been in Kingston for years and are sometimes painted to represent current situations, such as children in need.

It's different. It's interesting and it's humorous. You will be here for about 10 minutes max. But for crying out loud, do not climb on the boxes. Depsite the signs asking people not to, I see it everytime I pass it. It's unnecessary and rude and ruines everyone else's photo opportunities! Be respectful to our boxes please!

I walked past this installation several times whilst staying in Kingston. It's such an innovative item, preserving the old red phone boxes for generations to come. It's quirky and fascinating.
