My family and I came here for an early spring dinner. The atmosphere was one of the best parts of the visit. It was still quite cold and snowy out and the restaurant had big fires rolling in the multiple fireplaces. We brought our own wine, but some offerings were available. The menu was very good with many different options for all our guests. The standout was the elk. Two of us ordered the elk loin and it was outstanding served with fresh cooked vegetables. The service was good, and the prices were fair. The elk dish was pricy at over 30 dollars, but rare ingredients and this restaurants location make it justifiable. The only negative the restaurant is a bit of a drive from Youngstown, Pittsburgh, or Cleveland, but worth the trip. Make sure to take time to check out the décor upstairs and down. The restaurant is a hot spot for campaigning politicians, and they also have a unique death mask down in the basement for display see if you recognize the name!
