A great break. Beautiful large room with great view. Restaurant was amazing. You must go. Spa a little walk, but relaxing and extremely organised. If you want an amazing experience go here. We went on a spa deal and loved it.

I stayed here for one night for a work event and spa day which I was really looking forward to after looking at the 'spa' on their website.
The grounds are lovely and style of the hotel. The rooms are a little small and hotel decor is starting to look a little dated but the rooms do have all you need in terms of amenities. Wifi works well too.

The food was really nice for dinner and breakfast and drinks menu was great - great staff in these areas and went out of their way to get things we needed.

The one negative I have as that yes they had a beauty salon/spa which the treatments are really good, but i wouldn't pitch this as a full 'Day spa' Yes there is a pool, sauna, steam room and hot tub, gym, down stairs from the beauty salon, but that is the hotel pool. So when i went there for some relaxation and even to do a few laps it was covered in children playing with pool toys and since the pool is really quite small i could barely do one lap with out a kid or parent bumping in to me.
I do think the hotel needs to maybe change the photos on their website or write something about the pool being communal and open to the public and not a full spa as this is misleading and if i knew that in advance would not have been as disappointed.
The photos make the pool area look outstanding, which it really doesn't look like that - good photoshop editing though!

Would recommend the venue if people were looking for something in this area or wanting to use the beauty salon as the treatments and therapist were good.

Nutfield Priory seems to market itself as being a luxury stay so I was expecting good things on a rare night away from the children.

First appearances were good, it is in a lovely location but things quickly went down hill. Although we had arrived 30 minutes after allocated check in time, our room wasn't ready. We were then told we could upgrade to a room that was ready-but would have to pay an extra £30 to do this!! No real apology for the delays.

We politely declined and got put in the bar for a drink while our room was finished. After 20 minutes no one came back to find us so we had to go and ask if our room was now ready. The room was clean, but nothing special.

We went to the spa, which is really disappointing. The pool is like something in your local town and in the changing rooms there were piles of towels everywhere.

At drinks before dinner, our drinks order was forgotten and we had to chase this up. Then no one came to collect us for dinner - we had to ask if our table was ready.

Then our starters were brought out before we had even been served our drinks. We asked for rolls and were told these were coming as they were being cooked.

At breakfast the next morning our coffee arrived after our cooked breakfast. I had ordered poached eggs and these arrived before the toast!

Overall a very average stay, service was poor and no one had thought - or seemed to care about the little details that make a night away special. There were no major issues, just a combinations of lots of small issues that mean that I wouldn't return or recommend.

We were booked in for some Spa treatments and a nights stay with dinner. There was a mix up with our booking, but the staff handled it superbly, arrranging for us to be taxied to the sister hotel for a night and to return the next day for our treatments. We had a lovely evening. I have previously stayed at this hotel and the rooms are lovely, as was the one we were transferred to. Beautiful country settings and excellent food. The service from the staff in both locations was exceptional and nothing was too much trouble.

We were booked into the Spa and the treatments and therapists were excellent. The Elemis products used are lovely and I had a very relaxing massage. The lounge area is also nice. The only thing I would say (as other reviewers have stated) is that the pool / jacuzzi / steam / sauna area is shared with the gym and gets very busy with children etc. at the weekend which is not so relaxing. Not something that would put me off going again, but it's good to know for timings etc. For example we almost had the pool to ourselves early Sunday morning, but it was very busy by the aftenoon, so you may want to consider this when booking treatmnt tims etc.

I booked a Sunday evening Spa stay for two in April for my mother and her partner.

They both found the staff rude and unhelpful. There were no robes provided in the room and the hotel staff did not provide these despite being asked politely on several occasions. They also asked for an ice-bucket several times but were ignored.

I booked and paid via Spa Breaks as a gift yet the hotel mistakenly sent my mother a bill (in the middle of the night) not only worrying her that she had to pay extra but also letting her know how much I paid for her gift.

They enjoyed the sauna and pool but would not stay here again and would certainly not recommend it.

I complained directly to the hotel using their complaints procedure. An assistant manager responded with an apology about the service but then made a very cheap offer of £20 to remedy the situation. I explained that a special occasion had been ruined by the poor service but his response was dismissive.

Room Tip: The spa is OK, the hotel is ruined by the poor customer service. Breakfast was very disappointing.

Visited for a spa day with a friend, on a weekend. The (small, shallow) pool was full of children all day (it is part of the hotel and leisure club), so not at all relaxing, although the steam room, sauna and (small) jacuzzi were OK. Exercise facilities fine but busy. The only area with loungers was a "relaxation room", but this was very dark so no good for reading or chatting. Most of our time was spent in a boring hotel-type lounge. Tea, water and coffee were available free, but things like cups and water kept running out and were not replenished for ages. Lunch (included in our package) was good, but service slow. Treatments were nice. Changing and shower rooms cramped. Not really a proper "day spa" facility.

I have stayed at the hotel many times and always love this hotel. It is a beautiful house with amazing views, the rooms are amazing and the staff are excellent. It is one of my favourite hotels where you are made to feel at home.

The food is excellent and the spa is great.
