Well located near the centre of Reigate. Divine garden, better than excellent breakfast, quirky architecture, friendly but fairly inept staff ( at least most of those that we encountered).
We visited for 2 days mid-July, temperature in the mid 30's celcius.
Both nights our room was like an oven, a request for a fan was refused (there is no air-con), bear in mind this 'hotel' costs for a double room about € 130 per night.
First night our room hadn't been fully valeted, the bed sheets appeared to have been used though our small double bed had been made-up, and the toileteries had been used.
Second night the room hadn't been visited by the housekeeping staff at all, a bit of a tip of our own making in other words.
There is no bar that I could make out and post midday there seems to be no staff to speak of available. It would have been nice to visit the beautiful garden late in the evening to chill out (very important given the oppressive heat in our room) and maybe have a ciggie prior to retiring for the night, this was not possible.
Myself and my wife very much enjoy quirky and unusual places, but given the price of the Cranleigh hotel the service and facilities aren't up to scratch.
