I visit South Shileds regularly to eat and have tried many Indian restaurants. However, Zeera, in my opinion is now setting the standards that the others will follow. Walk down the street and you'll notice this place is full when the others are empty. The premises are clean and modern, the staff are polite, pleasant and attentive without being 'in your face' and the food is simply fantastic. Modern dishes such as the king prawns with mango salsa sit alongside the classic dishes we are all familiar with. I particularly recommend the chicken dishes which the chefs continually cook to perfection. If you're in Shields and you want a curry - try Zeera. You won't be disappointed!

My husband an I have been going to the Zera nearly every week since they opened and we wouldn't go anywhere else, the hospitality is second to none from the moment you walk in, you are greeted with a smile and well manured staff, this bring me to the food, the menue is to die for we know we have tried nearly everything on it, every thing you are served with is freshly made and always served hot. The Zera is family friendly and welcome hildred of all ages we know as we have had many a family celebration here, if you have a special event when you book let them know and they will make your experience special also, realy worth a visit, Diane 7 Terry Wood from Boldon Colliery.
