This lighthouse has a fantastic view , you can climb the steps to the top, hard work but worth it. There is also a lovely little gift shop where the grandchildren bought souvenirs. We had a great walk along coast as well.

Great little cafe, useful play park and sea views. Nice place for a quiet cuppa and slice of cake, as long as it's not too windy!
Grand kids (6&4) up for half term warm dry ( thats a change ) day . NT Souter light house on the agenda .Forty min drive easy to get to, small cafe ,BUT great things for them to do .Get dressed up as a pirate rush around finding things , do Morse code come on guys if you cant enjoy this place you have a problem .All in all we had a great couple of hours and way more importantly the grand kids had a blast .Cert's for climbing the 76 steps ( kids love cert's )
Ordered a bacon sandwich and coffee, got two slices of unbuttered bread and one fatty bacon rasher, that was it, disgusting, coffee was boiling water almost full to brim, could hardly fit tiny pot of milk into it, had to sit nearly 40 mins waiting to cool down, if you visit this place stay well clear of café.
It is a National Trust property, so being members we decided to take a look. This was a very interesting place to visit, it doesn't take too long, but is full of interesting things to do and learn about. The gentleman at the top of the Lighthouse steps was very informative and took time to tell us all about the surrounding area and the working of the lighthouse. It was a pity the lighthouse was in the process of being repainted as there was scaffolding all around it which meant exterior photos were spoilt. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Well worth a trip.
