A friend and I went on a little wander down the sea front but had missed the closing time for most pubs food service so we managed to get a last minute booking. I’m so glad we did. The food was insane. Previously we have ordered food for delivery and it has always been spot on. We got chatting to a lovely man (not sure of his name but he worked there or maybe even owned it) and he was great constantly checking in on us to see how everything was and he even managed to convince us both to get a dessert to take home for later on.

Highly recommend if your looking for food places in South Shields.

Good food and very attentive staff. Very busy in the current circumstances and the waiting staff work hard and do a great job all things considered, my only slight criticism would be the wines are very overpriced for what they are. All in all though a nice meal and a nice atmosphere.

I, certainly don't want to put anyone off as their food is good. But I do have a complaint, I waited more than two hours for delivery. Called with no answer I had to feed others and called out again and they would not accept my calls or requests to cancel. Consequently stupid me ordered from else where
That said I had to pay for two restaurants and one delivered on time the other took my money and ran. Still no reason why no communication nor fault.
I'm not after a penny but to have told me what's what.

I took my teenage boys here 'cos quite frankly they had eaten everything in the house and I was bored of cooking and tidying up after them. This was an excellent decision, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

The service was pleasant and attentive without being bothersome and the location itself was clean and seemed well set-up in our socially distanced world so no complaints on either front there.

As for the food, in summary it is largely very good but a couple of items could be better. The nachos were good and the coke can chicken is fantastic - the most moist tasty chicken I can ever remember having! (I will be back for that again one day) The boys had advised me that the wings were very nice, and the steak was well cooked too. However, the corn on the cob was rather bland (some seasoning or salty butter would be a welcome addition methinks) and one of my lads (a burger connoisseur!) thinks their burger had not cracked his top 10 burgers list. So not perfect but for the price point probably better than I would have expected.

Overall well worth a visit and would recommend to friends or anyone with ravenous kids. Do go there hungry though, as the name suggest the portions ain't small!

Took my son for his birthday. Absolutely fantastic service from Philly and Dale. These guys went above and beyond, nothing was to much trouble.

They made his day so special, with a specal challenge. He was beaming. Dale was so attentive from start to finish.

Fantastic food, I would recommend the chilli burger, and a fantastic atmosphere. 10/10
