I booked this on the strength of reviews I read. In a word-outstanding! I stayed for 4 nights over christmas 2012 whilst visiting son nearby. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever.

I always stay in Premier Inns for business travel as they are usually well located to main travel routes. This location was great hit off the A1 but my room had no bath and just a fairy grotty shower room.

We stayed here overnight on Sunday, 28 October. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was standard Premier Inn - clean, well equipped but basic. The location is good, close to the A1. For a budget hotel, this represents good value for money. Our only gripe was that the room was cold when we arrived and it took a long time for the heater to warm it up. We also found that when we set the control to the desired temperature, it resorted to the default and had to be re-set.

The second weekend at a Premier Inn in a fortnight, and another very good experience. This Inn has a very, very friendly team of staff from the Reception, Restaurant, and Domestic, all always had a smile and a friendly word and my wife and I were most impressed by them, as with the establishment. The dining room is fine and the breakfasts are excellent, as previously. The only downside on food is that the hotel does not serve evening meals and we found ourselves a bit isolated and almost obliged to eat at the Toby Carvery next to the Hotel. We went there twice, the first evening was fine albeit chaotic with the numbers, but on the Sunday evening the price for a lesser standard meal is hiked up by £3.50p for no good reason that we could establish. I appreciate that Premier has no control over the Toby carvery as such, but the adverts for Toby in the room are misleading and I for one would not have eaten there on the second occasion had I known of a price hike. Back to the Premier - our room was excellent, and quiet, could do with a drawer or two, there were none so our small items of clothing had to be put on an open shelf. Did not affect our comfort though. I would stay there again and recommend it to friends.

Room Tip: I imagine all rooms are pretty quiet, ours on the first floor (they call it Floor 2) was fine.

Excellent accommodation. Receptionists very helpful. Ordered a taxi for us which came within ten minutes. The only thing that let our stay down was the breakfast - two out of the three breakfasts were cold and the restaurant wasn't even busy. We have stayed in other Premier Inns and this has never been an issue so may be it was a blip.
