Very comfortable, quiet room, with pleasant helpful staff and a great breakfast. As a disabled person, parking is very important and when we arrived to check in all disabled bays were occupied, but the check in staff allowed us to park directly alongside the entrance.

Just had a two nights stay here. All the staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing was to much trouble, Les and Ivan in the restaurant provided great breakfasts, and the "angel of the north" Lyn on reception was always smiling and cheerful. Would recommend a stay here.

We arrived there around 6:40 and heck-in only took two minutes and the room was a clean ground floor room, that wasn't affected by noise from other people staying.Easy to find ,easy to get parked and there was no noise from the road nearby. Would stay here again

We stayed here for 2 nights while we stopped off on our way down towards York. My wife and I have stayed in several Premier Inns but this was the first time we stayed with our kids.

Can't fault the hotel as it's just what we've come to expect from a Premier Inn. All the staff we encountered were helpful and polite and the room, even with the four of us, still didn't feel cramped. I have to admit I wish all hotels adopted the system used by Premier Inn for bathroom toiletries i.e. the shower gel dispenser fixed to the wall as opposed to the small bottles that are impossible to open once your hands are wet.

Were weren't so keen on the onsite restaurant as it was a Toby Carvery. While we all enjoy a good roast it wasn't really what we were looking for after a long day at Beamish. We would have preferred a Brewers Fayre as this would have given us a better choice but at the end of the day we were all fed and watered.

Can't say we've ever had a bad stay at a Premier Inn and this specific hotel has continued that trend.
