“Better than expected...”
Reviewed 24 August 2014

Whatever you do, don't use Google Maps to try and find this place. It sent us to a completely different road and we were driving in circles for an hour! This is actually on the side of the highway behind a service station.

Considering that, I didn't hear much highway noise and it was better than expected. The room was clean and at a good price, but best of all it was big! It was so nice to have space after being holed up in what seemed like a shoebox for 5 nights prior. It was better value for money than some of the other places we stayed during our month in the UK and included wifi (yay!). Only downside was that breakfast wasn't included in the price, so we went elsewhere for it, as it was cheaper to go to the Starbucks/Waitrose next door.

I read reviews on here before our stay and thought it would be basic at best, so I was pleasantly surprised.

Booked in overnight by our company. Check in was quick and easy as usual. Room to the front was comfy, clean and quiet. Usual tea, coffee and a biscuit. The staff were as usual friendly. After a hot shower had a good night sleep.

We stayed just one night breaking up a longer journey. The Days Inn was chosen mainly for its convenient location for the M40 - literally in the service area off the motorway - and, as we really just required a place to put our feet up and then a night's sleep so paying a premium price was pointless.

So, a very reasonable price for their more than adequate 'executive' room which was spotless, well maintained, quite spacious and well laid out. There were two separate desk areas which was most useful but the two chairs supplied were ridiculously low (my laptop was above my head when I sat down - well nearly, you get the idea!).

The Inn is tucked at the back of the service area and effectively thus has its own parking so it feels both quieter and somehow more secure for your vehicle. The service area shops though are only a short stroll away so potential added convenience here if you want anything.

By the way, we had actually booked at Warwick North but on arrival they did not have a ground floor room available (we had requested but it hadn't been promised). The very friendly and helpful receptionist very quickly suggested that she could transfer our booking to the South Inn which had the room we preferred so full marks there too.

Obviously roadside motel-style accommodation is pretty much all the same but the Days Inn proved to be a good, well priced, no frills, no problems example of the breed! If this set up fits your purpose then we are happy to recommend (and we would happily stay again ourselves).

Free Wi-Fi in the room that worked well too!

The room was ok, the bathroom was very good, shower all right. Our booking was messed up, no booking for one night that we had booked, and no record of payment for the other night - we had paid - but the staff were friendly and helpful about it and after we had accessed our bank statements online, they did the sorting out.
I would not eat again at the eat in next door though. The food was very mediocre, and the drink at Starbucks more expensive than in the towns because it is "on the motorway"

Room Tip: We had the disabled room because we had ordered single beds and that was the only one left - may hav...

Stayed as as a stop over on the way to somewhere else. It was ok. A bit tired and the bed was a bit too soft, but it served the purpose and was great value for money. There was no air conditioning so on warm humid night it was a bit uncomfortable as the windows only open a crack

Firstly, my sat-nav sent me to the Northbound "Days Inn". However, once I got there it was a nice clean and spacious room with good wifi connections.
Easy check in and friendly staff. I had to leave at 06:30am and explained to the receptionist how would this effect my breakfast. There would be no problem as the tray would be left outside my room, which it duly was.
As a motel/hotel at a motorway service area there eating places to go to but as normal overpriced.
I travelled with a business colleague for one night so it was OK for just the night.
