“Excellent Wedding Venue”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

My wife and I had our wedding with 80+ guests here and the whole day was fantastically organised. Venue and grounds looked beautiful. Food and service excellent. We used the Great Hall for ceremony, meal and party with very quick turn arounds. A second wedding was happening in the marquee at the same time but at no time were you aware of it. Overall was an excellent wedding venue.

late arrival, but no one to check me in, had to go and search for some one, this is a large complex so 15 minutes before I got checked in, then a very long walk to my room which was excellent when I got there, I didn't eat so cannot comment on the food, overall though good

I have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions and think that the rooms offered are on the small side and in need of an upgrade. I know that there are some bigger rooms as I stayed in one for a wedding a couple of years ago but these do not appear to be offered during the week. On the plus side, lovely grounds for a walk in the sunshine and helpful staff. I have to commend Ashley (Sorry if it is spelled wrong) on reception. Very speedy check in, offered lots of information in relation to the hotel and grounds and resolved a problem very quickly. She was the perfect professional face of the hotel. JB

Room Tip: Do not use ground floor in hot weather as windows open too wide to be secure.

Reviews were so mixed for this hotel we worried and our son in law ribbed us mercililessly but we had a family wedding to attend!!!
When shown our room it was lovely with doors leading to a patio and a huge bathroom with a corner bath and his/ her sinks
Carpet needs refurbishing as stained in bedroom but very nice helpful staff apologised and said being redone soon with wood flooring.
Wedding was lovely and a fantastic venue for photographs
Had a great weekend so don't believe all you hear about a place do your own research,,
Rooms 16a and B
Are lovely

Avoid this hotel. Sure it looks great but the rooms are small and very dated, I was upgraded to what was supposedly one of their premier rooms, it was awful, mould on the windows and a very hard bed, not forgetting a very bright green security light in the middle of the room. On top of this they couldn't find my booking, ended by paying twice. I have since been back in contact 3 times, proven i have paid twice, they didn't bother contacting me, I'm still fighting it. The hotel has extremely poor management, and the bar staff are at best rude. So take your chances but take my advice, book somewhere else!! Oh just one more thing, the cleanliness of the room was disgraceful. Go see for yourself. Good luck.

Room Tip: Choose another hotel.

We recently held our Year 13 leaving prom at Dunchurch Park Hotel, booking the marquee for the event. The whole evening from start to finish ran smoothly as far as the guests were concerned. The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The grounds made an ideal location for photographs. The food was outstanding and I cannot recommend the marquee highly enough. Even the issue of a tight turnaround between a previous event and ours was handled perfectly. Also, little things such as jugs of water with glasses at the bar for guests to help themselves to throughout the evening were thought of. The guests themselves made comments such as 'perfect evening', 'amazing venue', 'best night ever had' and 'truly memorable'. We have already booked for next year and look forward to another warm welcome and outstanding service. Thanks for a great evening Dunchurch Park!
