Owner description: Draycote Water is an ideal place for a family day out in Warwickshire. Whether you are planning a gentle walk, some cycling or spotting some wildlife, there is lots to do at this great site. If you are bringing the whole family, the Country Park offers plenty of space for games and picnics as well as a fantastic children's play area. There is also a sailing club and trout fishery for those looking for an activity to get involved with and the recently refurbished visitor centre is now open. Gates open 7.00am - 8.00PM everyday, apart from Christmas Day. The cafe is open 10.00am - 6.00pm (8am-6pm on weekends). Please note dogs are not permitted around the reservoir however they are welcome in the Country Park

“Amazing place. Some customer service training required.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 April 2014 via mobile

Our running club regularly run round the reservoir on a Saturday morning - it's a very scenic route and provides a fabulous backdrop for an early morning run.

Be careful re the time of year as there can be many flies around the lake, which makes it most uncomfortable for walkers, runners and cyclists.

There is a fabulous children's park here and there are always lots of families walking the 5 mile route.

The relatively new cafe is lovely and the food is good (some fabulous cakes), if not somewhat slightly over priced. However some of the staff seriously need some customer service training - a slight adjustment of the attitude is required by some of the staff.

“Too many children”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

Went on Easter week for lunch, lots of young mums with babies and young children who thought screaming through lunch was good entertainment. Not checked by the mothers at all. Spoilt it for us, doubt we will be back. Many people were disturbed and walked out due to the noise. Food was okay but the staff didn't seem to know what they were actually serving and forgot to get part of our lunch at one stage. You got loads and what you had was tasty, bit pricey I thought.

“Peace and quiet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 April 2014

A super place to find peace and quiet.
Water, boats, trees, ducks, views and plenty of fresh air!
A play area for the children and cafe to recharge batteries.
What more could you ask for?

“Lovely setting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2014

The café and shop is well worth a visit following a walk around the reservoir. They serve very good quality teas/coffee and very nice 'home made' cakes. I haven't tried the meals they serve but they look very good and people who were eating commented on how good they were. There is also a nice 'park' area behind the café which is good for families.
