Description: The Fox and Hounds pub is listed as a hotel but not as a restaurant. As it only has three rooms and the food is wonderful.

this is a 16th century pub which has not been interfered with. The landlady has had a wealth of experience and it shows. The food is fabulous and is cooked by her son, and the staff are terrific and friendly. Food is unusual and of good quality, they even make their own sausages. Definitely worth a visit

We cycled past this delightful old inn just a few days ago - it was warm and sunny and we thought we should call in for a drink! It was just a few moments before closing time but they greeted us cheerfully and were more than happy to serve us.
The menu looked lovely - although we had already had lunch - and we hope to go back soon to try their food.

Booked for lunch as a surprise for our in-laws. Nice warm summer day when we were all looking for something light to eat. The menu was suited to a cold day by the fire; stews, casseroles, deep fried cheese and risotto. No salad options or fish cakes etc. If we hadn't reserved a table we would have turned round and gone elsewhere. Unfortunately, I had already ordered the drinks! In the end we all had sausage and chips (not on the menu) and politely declined the gravy. The sausages were tasty - but no one finished their meal. Very sad and embarrassing for my wife and I who were hosting.

A great place to stay for a quiet break. The 16th century inn has 3 nice en-suite rooms and the bar has a great atmosphere. The hosts are really friendly and the food is excellent. Menu changes daily and all prepared imaginatively from local sources. Ideally sited in a quiet village on the edge of the Cotswolds for all the site-seeing.

Thought we would give this pub a try on fairly short notice. The through room with bar is fairly small has a lovely old world type feel to it, almost cosy, without music bright lights or other distractions from the good beer, range of wines and excellent food. Not a large menu but a good choice for each course. We both had a delicious mutton curry, our 2 guests had a mutton casserole and beer battered haddock and chips. All cooked extremely well and although not inexpensive, extremely good value for the food quality. All in all a very good experience.
