“Old fashioned hospitality”

This is a recently renovated pub/hotel which has a "local" feel to it. We stayed just one night in the Diamond Suite. A friendly welcome from the managers before being shown to our traditionally furnished room with a large, very modern bathroom which had the "wow" factor. We didn't eat at the restaurant but used the bar which has young friendly staff and a lively atmosphere with a great selection of beers on tap.Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was excellent. One comment - we would have liked an easy chair in the room. Free parking. Recommended.

I recently stayed here whilst on a business conference and was excited when looking at the website. Upon arrival, I was very impressed by the look of the pub and the suite I stayed in was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was out of this world. Unfortunately, the people let this pub/ hotel down. They were downright extremely rude and unfriendly. It should also be noted that this hotel has a curfew... In your rooms by midnight or a charge of £10 per hour is incurred. Guests are not provided with a front door key so you are effectively locked in until breakfast! Upon asking if I could purchase a bottle of wine to enjoy in my room after midnight, I was told no because I'd spill it in the recently refurbished room and was further insulted by being advised they weren't a b&b in Blackpool. Very unreasonable in view of the hot drink making facilities in my room (ie: surely people are just as capable of spilling coffee.)
The breakfast was lovely- full English cooked to perfection however it came served with sour faces from the people running this place. Would not stay here again - manners and a smile cost nothing.

Popped in for a Saturday Lunch and ate in the main bar area. No welcome and when informed the food was poor we had no response. Food did not live up to the menu description not quite using the proposed ingredients. Had we had better service i'm sure we would have left a little less dissatisfied.

Fortunately there is a private car park behind this hotel, where we popped into lunch recently. There was a lovely smiling waiter at the door to let us in,another to serve drinks at the bar & quick efficient service with very tasty food by the waitresses. It has a real old world charm in the bar- we didn't stay over but would definitely recommend for lunch/dinner & personable charm & courtesy.

Room Tip: Can't help with the rooms etc as we didn't stay in Henley in Arden, but it's a beautiful...

We stumbled across this pub as we drove around England and imagine our delight to be devouring glorious food and hearing tales of ghosts and gallows. Nigel and Maria are excellent hosts and the rooms are beautifully furnished. A 16th Century Coaching Inn we sat at our table imagining the delightful characters that have shared an ale and story or two at the White Swan. We waited up for a ghost or two to come in to our beautiful room but they must have been visiting someone else because we slept comfortably and peacefully and weren't disturbed at all. Well worth a stay while you are visiting the land of Shakespeare nearby.

Room Tip: Ask for the room where the ghost of the lady of the night might come to visit. Sweet dreams fellow...

had Sunday lunch whilst visiting my mum and dad who live in the area, food was great, service was great, nice looking pub and restaurant, prices fair, didn't stay overnight but if i needed accommodation in henley in arden would definitely give the white swan a go, all in all a good experience.

Stayed here with my wife as a package deal with Gems TV. Whose CEO is also the owner of the hotel.
Lovely setting, being an old coach house, in the centre of a charming town. Really friendly staff, especially Nigel and Marie, the managers, who welcomed us and spent time chatting.
Our room was The Johnson Suite, WOW!! Fabulous room, four poster bed, fantastic.Olde worlde Tudor decor. Excellent en-suite with drench shower.
We had dinner at the hotel, which was a 3-course a-la-carte. Again it was excellent. I recommend the cheese board, especially if you're still hungry, which, I can guarantee, you wont be.
Breakfast was also brilliant. All made with local, fresh produce. My wife recommends the sausages.
Thanks to all at The White Swan. We will be recommending you.
