“Nice Hotel”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 via mobile

Stayed here for one Fri night-no issues, beautiful drive up to hotel, friendly staff, clean room. Daughter really enjoyed swimming pool. Didn't try restaurant due to poor reviews on here, but probably would next time, as it was busy and everyone looked happy!

If you want 5* luxury, don't expect to just pay £40 a night, which is what we paid. Complete bargain.

Yes it's a bit dated, tv isn't 42 inch widescreen, but it's a nice break away, what more do you need for that price in beautiful Bosworth?

We stayed at Bosworth Hall using a voucher that included a 3 course meal, bottle of wine, breakfast and use of spindles spa facilities. We found the place to be exceptional value for money. The staff were very helpful. The food was great considering the very low price and the spa facilities were also very good. The hotel itself is beautiful with lots of character. We particularly enjoyed finding out the history of the hotel including the stories relating to the ghost of Bosworth Hall. The staff were more than willing to fill us in on all the details which was great. Our room was in the top of the main hall and although it was a little small it was very comfortable with everything we needed. We sampled afternoon tea in the courtyard which was lovely. A short walk from Bosworth hall is a country park just across the road and also it is only a 5 minute walk into the village. Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return. Don't know what some of the bad reviews are talking about. I think it is a case of people expecting ridiculously high standards for a very low price. There really is nothing to complain about whatsoever.

we read the reviews, but have always enjoyed KGB stays so didnt let it worry us. We had a terrible journey, car broke down...RAC were wonderful. We were very late arriving. supervisor Jane in the restaurant made sure the staff were aware we had had a bad day and were starving. they looked after us and fed us well, food was lovely...they filled hubby's plate with gammon, mine with salmon and we helped our selves to as much veg as we wanted. Same at breakfast the next day lovely food brought out pipeing hot at regular intervals.
The room was spotless and comfy. Iron and ironing board was in the cupboard. We sat in the garden next to the restaurant and bar chatting to other guests for quite a few hours bar prices very good for a country hotel, lovely old building and grounds. We loved the sauna, jacuzza and pool. We will definately stay there again but for more than one night. people who complain need to realise it is an old house which would be spoilt if modernised too much. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We went to this hotel Dec 13. The rooms are very dated and the beds uncomfortable. We also had the misfortune to coincide are visit with what can only called a gypsy wedding. During our visit we witnessed a fight between two " ladies" , the groom smashing a chair over someone's head, the fire alarm being set off twice and to cap it all, half of the Warwickshire Fire Brigade and the Police turned up to attend to a fire and to cart the wedding party off in riot vans. We spent a large proportion of the night in our car, and when we asked for a refund, refused saying it was beyond their control.
We wil not stay there ever again

just returned home after a delightful stay, we booked this hotel through wowcher, after looking on trip adviser we had our doubts after seeing bad reviews... wow some people just dont know what there saying.... arrived at 13.30 and the room was ready for us, very clean and tidy. yes a little dated, but with a hotel that size its understandable. the food was very nice but a better choice of veg for the evening meal would be nice but it was all very tasty.. breakfast was amazing, all the staff were very helpful and friendly, would definitely stay again..

just returned from a lovely night at Bosworth Hall and felt i would like to write a review. its our fourth visit here in 5 years and we will definately return. we arrived at half one our room was ready but we decided to go for lunch first. The 3 course lunch is a bargain at £6 well recommended, as we were leaving there was a heated debate where someone who had booked a deal like us was trying to demand an upgrade to fine dining. The staff handled it well and we booked our evening time slot without further incident. We went to our room which was very nice but unfortunately we discovered a leak in the bathroom, maintenance were called but as problem couldnt be resolved we were moved to another room. The reception staff were lovely very helpful and apologetic even offering to carry our luggage to the new room. Dinner on the night was in the carvery very nice food with helpful pleasant staff. Spindles offered a lovely pool, jacuzzi and sauna. There is also a steam room however this was under repair during our stay. My husband and I were amused by the amount of people moaning about petty things during our stay, to the extent we felt sorry for the staff. The hotel is a lovely place set in beautiful grounds please dont be put off by negative reviews on here. If you have a genuine issue the staff are excellent give the place a chance we look forward to going back soon.

I stayed in a double room (LGroom49) with my 2 children aged 2 & 8. We asked for a z bed twice which was finally put up after bedtime was due. The sheets had holes in, the quilt cover had a suspect stain on it, the pillows were damp. The z bed springs were sticking through the mattress and the double bed was more uncomfortable than the floor. The floorboards above the room creaked with people passing overhead until around 1am and then we were woken by a delivery van pulling up & unloading outside the bedroom window at 7am. The evening buffet was probably good when it was cooked several hours before it was served and breakfast was at least edible. I complained at reception in the morning which was ignored completely & the full charge of £58.75 deducted from my card. If you have any alternative to this awful hotel then take it. Even a friends floor will offer more comfort & will most likely be cleaner.
