As others have said previously, staff very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Beefeater restaurant was a bonus with good value food. We were visiting family and will definitely be staying here in future.

We booked 2 rooms, one family and one for grandparents. The rooms were great (extremely comfy beds) and the staff were fantastic. Family room was a good size, and there were play facilities for the children.

Rooms were very clean, and despite being relatively close to the main A road everybody enjoyed a restful nights sleep (the susurrus of trafic possibly helped...)

There were chickens and wild rabbits roaming the grounds, and horses nearby; we encountered them crossing the disused roadway that leads to the nearby retail park (Bermuda Park: home of restaurants, cinemas and other delights). Friendly wild ducks were also met en route!

There is a Beefeater restaurant attached; it had few dishes to keep the vegetarian grandparents happy (mostly dishes without chicken, but the red pepper tart was lovely) but in fairness the breakfast deal would include veggie sausages if you wanted to indulge in a full English!

Downside: a 10 minute taxi ride from the station, but if you walk into town you can buy a family ticket for the same price which will last you all day. 10 minutes by taxi, 20 minutes by bus either way. Route 48 as of June 2012....

Our first stay in a Premier Inn - certainly won't be our last!

Room Tip: Family rooms are all on the 1st floor. No lifts, but I would assube staff would assist with luggage if required.

Happy to reccommend to others. Family friendly..staff were helpful. A few repairs were needed in the bathrooms as a little dated but a good budget hotel.

A lovely welcome, comfortable room. A little small, but ideal for a single traveller like me. Very friendly and efficient staff. Plenty of car parking and a great Beefeater restaurant on site, which enables a few drinks with a meal and no need for a taxi!

Good choice of cereals, juices, fresh fruit, toast, muffins etc, and an excellent freshly cooked, and very filling hot breakfast. Bottomless coffee, with the last cups enjoyed in the garden outside.

Very convenient to the motorway and main roads, and infinitely better than a Travelodge. I am lead to believe this will shortly be re-furbished (it was an extension to George Eliot's house and apparently was one of the first Premier Inns in the country), so it can only go from great to outstanding!
