Having arrived a little later than planned, although we phoned ahead to notify we would, this caused a headache for the kitchen as our party of 13 found that most of the food had disappeared from the menu! We were offered a free drink or two and we were finally served food which to be fair was OK. Rooms at the back were cold, even though the heating was on in the front side, thankfully we were given an electric heater to warm the room up. Room was clean and bed comfy. Breakfast was help yourself and tasty, there was a delay in food being served as maybe they weren't used to being full? Toaster, well could have been out of Faulty Towers really, frozen bread took ages to toast and needed 2 go's to get done. All in all, far better than a low cost hotel, but not a 4 * plus type experience. I was lead to believe the hotel was under new management and this was 'bedding in' during our stay so things should improve and become better organised. Staff very supportive and understanding, a large party of parents and children attending a rugby festival I am sure brings its own sets of challenges!

Beautiful hotel, felt very warm and cosy. The lobby is just gorgeous.
Very convenient and great value
Very nice newly refurbished room just what we needed.
The staff couldn’t be more helpful, they were all very nice and with a smile all the time which is nice to see. Made me feel very welcome
We had dinner at the restaurant. We had steak, their speciality and was perfectly cooked and everything was very well presented.
Breakfast was super!!
Will definitely come back!

I stayed at this hotel with my son who had a rugby trial at Rugby School along with 12 other families the hotel was clean but was warm in some bedrooms but others were freezing and had to have blow heaters no champagne or fizzy on the wine menu the food menu had a good choice we all made our choices waited over an hour then the waitress came and said they had run out of most things so we had to go with what they had.
It definitely has a feel of faulty towers about it but its well worth a visit the staff were very accommodating but obviously were under a bit of stress
We were given wine on the house as a way of an apology which was very nice and much appreciated we had a nice time and the hotel is in a very central area but parking is a bit of a nightmare although the hotel will pay your parking charges if you park in the hotel they recommend Again the staff were very helpful

One of our party suggested that when you stay somewhere you either have a good time or a good story. At the Rugby Hotel we had both. We did have some niggles and there were a couple of issues but at the end of the day you get what you pay for and really it is a hotel that could charge more if they sorted these niggles out.

Bless the Rugby Hotel. I want to sit down with the hotel and offer it a business plan. (I think one of our party did!!)
This hotel has the potential to be a real gem. It looks great from the outside, is nicely situated and could be a lovely boutique hotel either as a retreat or a central place to stay when you have to be in Rugby for what ever reason.

We stayed as part of a large group who chose this hotel rather than a motor way chain. Unfortunately we were late arriving and therefore late sitting down etc. By the time we sat down to eat there was not much choice but what we did have was simple and well cooked. The people that had the few steaks that were left looked fabulous, that's what i would have again.

We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms which was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable.

We did have a couple of little niggles but the staff could not be faulted in the way they handled the situation or the problems.

For the price of the room and breakfast i couldn't give it a bad review, but i do hope they sort out the few things we had to talk to them about as i would like to come back.

Food was ok staff friendly, when i asked if there was a disabled toilet was told no so that was a down side no disabled toilet and ladies upstairs not disabled friendly in facilities wise no lift otherwise ok, had to wait about 50 minutes for food once ordered and children got a bit fed up. Didn't do children's portions so had to have adult meal and pay for adult meal

Thank you very much for your review of Mother’s Day lunch at our restaurant.
We are aware of the lack of a ladies’ disabled toilet and plan to move the ladies toilet to the ground floor later this year.
Your feedback is valuable to us and we use it to continually improve service. As such we are pleased to have introduced our new children’s menu.
We hope to welcome you back again soon.
