“Delightful !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014

We went for brunch and it was delightful !

I had a massive English breakfast - really well cooked whilst my wife had the best granola in the world apparently ! My fruit smoothie was excellent. The coffee was good too. Staff were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. We are looking forward to going back.

“Just give it a try!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 August 2014 via mobile

We visited Cafe Vin Cinq on Monday evening of this week. Monday is set price menu night. 2 courses is £13 3 courses is £16. Unbelievable value for food and service of this high standard. The restaurant was nicely busy and the waitresses were running around up and down the stairs very efficiently. We had pigs cheek to start and duck and chicken as main courses. Both starters and main courses were cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. I could not find fault with the food or the wonderful friendly service we received from Wednesday and Michele. It is well worth a visit, ESPECIALLY on a Monday. We were also informed that they now open for breakfast so we're looking forward to giving that a go some time soon.

“Food heaven”

At Cafe Vin Cinq you will leave with a grin,
From the food and the wine and the service within.
Pigeon, scallops, pigs cheeks and more
Succulent meats and flavours galore.

Wines for all tastes from all round the planet
You can dine like a king, you can feast like a gannet.
With music and laughter and cocktails upstairs
No place for miles can even compare

A true touch of class, so we really must thank,
The chefs and the staff at Café Vin Cinq !!

“Mainly great as usual ... but service was not up to usual standard and sweet was appalling ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014 via mobile

Visited with my wife for our wedding anniversary meal. The starter of scallops was to die for! Steak was good as well.
Service was slow and we were told that one chef had walked out and that only two waitresses on duty.
We actually had to request attention for extra drinks and to get the sweet menu.
The sweet (Eton Mess) was all meringue with little fruit or cream. The waitress did credit us for it.

Other than this, the starter and main was great and the ambience it's usual excellence. Just a slightly 'off night'.
