Nice decor, seated quickly. 7 people went. I had fish goujons to start - batter was very impressive but sadly fish inside was tasteless.
Ribs for main course - found it odd you could pick from three types, should have asked how they were cooked but as waitress didn't even know what the soup of the day was I didn't bother and went for the BBQ. They were well cooked in that they fell off the bone, however the BBQ sauce seemed to have be added at the last moment and grilled on top like a glaze, rather than them being cooked in sauce for hours - thus the meat underneath did not have any flavour apart from salt and was dry . Didn't finish them and will stick to Casa Loco's when in Rugby.
Dessert was a nice shop bought american cheesecake from brakes or similar supplier so couldn't really go wrong with that.
Staff were very polite but didn't have a clue what was on their menu, we actually had to spell things out for them. They took plates away before we had all finished and hounded us 4 times in 5 minutes to order desserts even after we said give us a few minutes, to the point I got annoyed.
Overall was nothing more than OK - other half said his burger was very tasty - if a little too pink. Friend was appalled that he paid over a fiver for three small prawns as a starter. Brushetta starter also very overpriced. Dressing on the Tuna was OTT on the chilli in the dressing, yet the Chicken with brie and cranberry was apparently lovely. Overall I don't think the food warranted the prices - just too hit and miss. The staff could really do with taking a menu home and learning it. .
