Owner description: A traditional pub serving an ever changing range of up to 12 real ales featuring beers from Oakham Ales, Grainstore Brewery and many other micro breweries. It is not just about the ales as you can enjoy a glass of fine wine from our independent wine merchant, lovely to sup in our sunny courtyard garden or sample from a selection of gins and malt whiskies.

Lovely chilled pub. Landlords a nice chap who is always very welcoming. The beer is of a high standard as always. My wife loves the rhubarb gin.

A proper pub, well kept ale, friendly knowledgeable management and staff. Great atmosphere too. I don't think there are many other places I'd have travelled forty miles (one hour drive of two hour train) for a beer at New Years Eve.

The Scotch Eggs are excellent

This used to be a really good pub(Rugby Camera HQ) It was an old fashioned "proper pub" with interesting pictures & artifacts, where conversation ruled Since a change of ownership I consider it has gone downhill being turned into a Rugby themed pub ( in partic Leicester Tigers), It is still nice there but not what it was. Good Real Ales served(get the tall chap to serve you- if on duty - he serves a really excellent pint & knows his beers, besides being really pleasant)Why do people have to spoil what is already good ? ? ! !
