Food: fine , nice flavour on some dishes, but unless you get the paella you need around 4/5 dishes to feel full ( and I'm a slim person ) this will total £20/25 before you have even ordered a drink . Unless you go for very basic dishes (olives, breaded bits ect ) also do not order the steak!!!! £5.95 for literally 6/7 veg peeler style SHAVINGS arranged on your plate with a squiggle of chilli . Nothing like the picture .
Tapas seems like a great idea at the start of the night untill you leave the place realising that with the £20/25 price tag you spend on various tidbit dishes here you could go and get a nice fillet steak elsewhere in town.

Also nothing more irritating than the waitresses bringing the food to the table and with every dish explaining she has no idea what it is and telling the table to try it and pass it along ?! Don't worry love those 3 mushrooms on a plate cost someone on the table £4/5 sure they don't mind the waitress offering them out to be eaten by others ?!

There is virtually no legal parking near the tapas bar. Once inside the decor is bright but the acoustics create a very noisy and discordant backdrop .the eastern European waitress has minimal conversational English which makes ordering difficult combined with a zealous desire to order before the limited menu was looked at
Once delivered the food was a very poor quality and very very overpriced for effectively MacDonald's quality at fine dining prices It was neither authentic or edible as fried overcooked pap was served I was asked my opinion of the food and told by the owner that all her customers were happy with the food implying that my views were wrong my advice is to give this cafe a w side berth and remember how fantastic the previous Thai restaurant was for quality of food service and ambience

Dear Sir,

Further to your review on Tripadviser would like to clarify some points:
There is a 200 space car park free of charge after 7pm less than 3 min walk from the restaurant, also plenty of off street parking around it.
Our restaurant has music in the background and people having a good night enjoying themselves create a nice atmosphere obviously in your case you were looking for a very quiet night out, which is not at Casa de Tapas.
If you can find a fine dinning restaurant that charges less than 40 pounds for 2 people for a bottle of good quality wine and 5 dishes, please let me know - I would love to visit it myself.
Our stuff come from all around the world and they are trained to advise you about the choices on our menu.
Our very reasonably priced dishes are cooked to order and if you prefer Thai food over Spanish tapas than we suggest you visit local Thai restaurants in the future.

Regards,
Carl Clarke

I took a party of 12 for my birthday evening. We were seated at the long bench tables in the "party room". Music was playing in the background which added to the great atmosphere. The service was excellent considering that we ordered over 40 dishes between us. The quality of the food is "spanish" tapas as against "uk tapas" which was a real treat. Staff were attentive but not overbearing. After a lovely meal (and a couple of glasses of Sangria), we then had a boogie on the dance floor. A real find and a great evening highly recommended for a group booking. I will visit again very soon for a meal in the restaurant and have high hopes. This is not just a restaurant but a place to have an evening out and enjoy yourselves. Highly recommended

Lots of choice on the menu and the tapas was all cooked to order. Our friend has a gluten free diet and the staff were really helpful in accommodating her. The meatballs were a highlight (and gluten free!).

There was a good atmosphere and we will definitely be back for more.

First time in a Tapas restaurant and not knowing the serving sizes we just choose random dishes with a last check with the waitress to see if we had ordered enough for the table, she was very helpful (Aga) and said we had... and boy was she right we were spot on for 9 people.

Also we were advised that a chef had gone sick and that service would be slow/ long wait but they were far from it. Service was excellent... Food excellent and Sangria excellent!!

The bill for 9 people with drinks was £170 .... £20 per head for dinner and a few drinks can;t be bad :-)

I will definitely be visiting again
