Went 21 august 13, a great place to go on a hot day. Go at least once a year. Used to go as a kid (now 71} we called it '' Pork Pie Hill'' as children, because of the round tower. It hasn't changed much in all those years, except, there was no parking fee - but only £1.50 per day now and you can now get a ice cream from van - grown up kids too!
A nice circular walk to do is carry on past church, across fields to village, turn left, up hill, turn left, return to hills {about 3 miles}.

A large space with plenty of hills for youngsters and if inclined the not so young to explore, ideal for kite flying and in good weather picnicking.plenty of places to park. A wonderful place to sledge in the winter snow

Beautiful church with particular interests in the clues to the ark of the covenant and templar connections. Do some reasearch and you will find it fasinating.

We go the on a regular basis, it's brilliant for wearing dogs and kids out!!

The views are fantastic on a clear day, and it's brilliant for sledging when it snows :-)

My girlfriend and I happened to be walking our dog on the hills on the Bank Holiday Monday when we came accross preparations for the "Jubilee Beacon Bash" so we returned later to be treated to 4 live bands, hog roast, beacon lightng and fireworks - superb evening - well done!
