“A really lovely stay in a beautiful home”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

Marston House is a pretty house in the centre of a village full of history. Kim and John Mahon are quite the best hosts and made us very comfortable - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were lovely and very clean, with plenty of hot water provided and nice touches here and there.... tea and home made cake when we arrived, the offer of an evening walk around the village, a superb supper with them (very welcome) and quite the best breakfast next morning. They have a big garden which my mother liked to walk around and Kim was keen to explain their ecological programme, which was to provide a natural habitat and conserve energy etc. Plenty of suggestions of where to go and free use of all rooms in the house 'our house is your house' made us very happy so we certainly would recommend you to stay there!

Room Tip: All rooms were really well appointed - Kim will make adjustments for you if necessary

How kind of you Frances to take the time to write a review on TR.

Much appreciated as I know that people look there but I still don't know how these things work. Too old or something!

We much enjoyed meeting you & your Mum - 2 gutsy ladies and I hope you enjoy this coming w/e.

Thanks again and best wishes

We stayed for one night as we were attending wedding reception at the Holly Bush pub. Kim and John were very welcoming, there is nothing they have not thought of to make your stay perfect. It was lovely when we arrived back after our evening out to find a note saying 'hope you had a fun night'. The room was beautiful as was the whole house, breakfast was also lovely.

In the beautiful village of Priors Marston is Marston house a haven of peace and tranquility.
Kim and John treat you as friends not as visitors, the rooms are delightful and large, with the same said for the bathrooms. The house is a wonderfuly furnished with a superb selection of fantastic photos from the past, the breakfast is really super.
Steph and I will most certainly be back.

To stay in Marston House at Priors Marston is to immerse oneself in the sort of ambiance usually associated with La France Profonde. Spacious well appointed room with own large bathroom of equal quality, superb breakfast, including home and local made jams and honey, and welcoming hosts, who nonetheless leave you plenty of personal space. All this in a substantial 19th century house in a characterful village where the silence can be heard. Don't hesitate!

We stayed two nights at Marston House and were very pleased we did. Nothing was too much trouble for Kim and John. Our room was large and comfortable and it's great to have a proper bathroom. We didn't have the full English breakfast but even then there was a huge choice. If you like "old fashioned" service then this is the place for you.

We needed to stay in the area overnight and saw rave reviews about Marston House. They were not wrong. Kim and John made us very welcome and it was a delight to stay in this lovely and historic village. We'll be sure to go back before long.
