A picturesque pub in a very pretty Warwickshire village, The Bell is the sort of pub you wish you lived within walking distance of, until you go inside!
The beer is excellent,( albeit expensive), the decor is decidedly modern 'Gastro Pub',and the staff are friendly and efficient. However it has to be one of the noisiest pubs I have ever been in. No one was misbehaving or, to my knowledge, even behaving in a loud manner but the bar area is small, very busy and totally lacks any soft surface or furnishings, not even curtains at the windows! The result is a cacophony of noise, you have to shout your order and even then the staff ask you to repeat it. To be fair this does not apply to the restaurant which is just sufficiently far enough from the bar to be OK. The menu is excellent and diverse and the food and service also deserve an excellent rating. I will definitely return to the restaurant but if I lived in Tanworth in Arden I would have to find another 'local'.
