Basically this is a good restaruant with rooms attached.
Good food from French and Scottish chefs. A large range of sea fodd for soemwhere so far from tthe sea. The food is very good and they do not mond ordering off menu variations - if you want chips (French Fries) with your teryaki slamon go for it (good combination though order the "chips" not the "fries".)
Breakfast is basic - good coffee, toast, OJ and cereal. Unlessyou go for the full english fry >> which is probably worth avoiding in view of scale and needs pre ordered.
The rooms are done up in various styles alas the fittings appear to be desigend domestic and not able to cope with the rough and tumble of hotel usage.
Old Inn so low ceailings and protruding beams so if you are accident prone - avoid.
One iron/ board to whole place, no toiletries.
TV is Council Plus - no Sat
Bar does Real Ale and a small but different range of basic wines.
