Went by June 28th with hubby and 3 year son.. I love this place.. Loads of entertainment rides ( no queue and can go many times) and entertainment shows.. it is best for kids..
Even though we got a silver room.. i have no complaints.. what is 4 nights 5 days .. I have no fuss on the room.. we have excellent time.. if you want a nice room.. offcourse .. go for deluxe room.. and pay more ...
It is definitely best small holiday for my son.. We thought of going once a year.. just for a short trip..
Definitely recommend to friends!!!

Where to start, Rooms: dirty, damp, cramped, very out of date, shower did not drain away and water pressure very low. Dining: average buffet food, dining rooms so hot you eat and go. Entertainment: the only free things I found that were free was the shows (low budget) and bumper cars, nealry all onsite activertys were £5 per person. Staff: red coats were good, most other staff were rude and unhelpful. And last but not least PRICE we paid aroud £2450 half board for 8 adults and 2 baby's, now found out center parcs for the same trip would have only been £1099 plus food in fully equiped lodge.

We were wary of Butlins due to some poor reviews on here, but our son was desperate to see the George Samson show so we took a risk - and we're really glad we did. We had a fantastic time on our 3 night break - absolutely exhausted and elated at the end of it.

Be warned - Butlins is a full-on, noisy, busy, in-your-face entertainment fest, aimed almost entirely at 5 to 15 year olds. If this is the sort of holiday you want then Butlins is for you; if not, then steer clear because there is no escaping the full-on atmosphere. My wife enjoyed the holdiay but by our final (fourth) day she was ready to come home as it was so full on! The entertainment is constant and is of high quality. There is a massive choice of free activities plus a lot of more adventurous stuff that you need to pay extra for. Our son spent all four days doing one activity after another and didn't spend a penny on extra entertainment (except the arcade machines!) - there really is tonnes of free stuff to do. So ignore the people who moan about extra costs on here. For a four-day break it's not an issue. Our son loved the Street Dance classes, he did fencing, saw the animal show, the spooky science show, the African acrobats, Titan the robot, the puppet show, table tennis, family fitness, and tried to break a Guiness World Record - all free. We spent two mornings in the Splash Pool which is free and really excellent. Apart from one flume ride involving a dinghy, all the Spash Pool flumes had very short queues even at peak times. The evening shows were excellent - our son got to see the George Sampson show so he was over the moon. Brainiac was also excellent as was the "Stars from X Factor and BGT" show. As long as you go into the show venue with the first wave of people (no need to queue for hours, just join the end of the queue as it goes in) you can find a table that will give you a good view of the stage. If you go into the venue later you may find it hard to find a place to sit down as it fills up gradually over the early part of the evening.

All Butlins staff, from the Redcoats to the road sweepers were very professional and friendly.

My wife did the Violet package at the Spa in the Ocean Hotel and thought it was good value. Her only minor niggle was that the main spa area is a bit small (but then her previous experience of Spas has been at the 5 Star Pennyhill Park Country Hotel in Berkshire, so I don't think it's fair to compare the two). She certainly enjoyed her Spa package.

We booked last-minute, so we probably weren't paying top whack, but we thought it was excellent value for money. We stayed in a Silver apartment in the Oyster Bay section (the old terraced chalets). Despite some poor reviews on here for that standard of accomodation, we thought it was fine (you're only in your room to sleep!). It did smell a little musty and the bed mattresses were uncomfortable but we were having such a good time during the day that we didn't care! Based on our experience, I really can't see the point of spending £100s more for a 'posh' Gold room or a room in one of the new hotels.

We paid for the premier breakfast and dinner dining package and this is really worth doing. There was a good selection of food at each meal time with the standard ranging from average to excellent (the pancakes cooked to order at breakfast were especially scrummy!) As with any busy holiday destination - make sure you arrive at meal times within 30 minutes of the restaurant opening to get the best choice and to enjoy the restaurant at its cleanest!

All in all, we had a really great time and we're already planning to do another short Butlins break next year.

The butlins bognor regis hotel is a brilliant hotel for children, teenagers and familys and also adults, the rooms are great they are proper 5 star bedrooms with LCD Televisions, kettle with tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate, which you can order more of if you run out at main reception, if you are a gambling type of person you will love the amusement arcades which there are some of in the amusement buildings and the large tent some of the amusement staff are really igronant you ask them for help they just walk away like you are a piece of muck , there are loads of stuff to entertain your children like rides which are all free inc dodgems , horse rides, go karting and quadding they will all enjoy, if you want to go to the beach it is a 10 minute walk i havent been there so i dont know if it is a sandy beach or rocky beach so you may have to find out, if you want to have family time you can hire either a familyy bike, go karts , mobility scooters and many more stuff to have a great day it costs to hire these, there are many shops so you dont need to bring food there is a spar supermarket before you go into the big tent which sells souvenirs, food, magazines, confectionary etc, and there are also shops in the big tent i reccomend News break which sells confectionary, butlins stationary, me to you bear items, jewellery, magazines, butlins souvenirs and many more. If you choose your dates you may even have a chance to see some of favourite tv stars performing live at the reds stage some tv stars are off the X factor and britains got talent this show is free if you want to watch it i insist you to line up 30 minutes before the show doors open as we got there 15 minutes before and it was a massive queae it was really long i luckily pushed in a bit thats how we got a good seat we saw tobias mead (off the britains got talent), Lucy jones (off the x factor ) and fugitive (a famous singer) , if you want to go swimming here is the best place to go there are loads of slides a white slide, orange flume, green flume and a master blaster slide which you sit in a inflatable there is also a rapid that the water goes round really fast and pulls you, there are HEIGHT restrictions to these slides and attractions, i really recomend the hotel to everyone

I hadnt visited Butlins for some years and we had booked into the shoreline hotel for my little ones birthday. It was the best family holiday we have had. The entertainment was second to none. There was something for everyone. My 13 year old had entertainment and always something or somewhere to go and my 5 year old was always entertained from puppet shows to Billy bears nightime stories. And my husband and i could join in all the fun then sit back and enjoy a bottle of wine while our kids were being entertained. My 13 year old even went into the spa and had her nails done!! The hotel and all the camp was spotless, there was always someone in front of you cleaning something. The restaurants were clean and excellent food whether you were dining in hotel or on site, the plates were taken away as soon as you had finished and excellent customer service. The character breakfasts were special too. Over all the cleanliness, entertainment , value for money was brilliant. And the staff always had a smile on their face and said good morning whether they were entertainment staff or cleaners, all made you feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble and all staff couldnt do enough for you, we even had the treat of meeting stephen mulhearn from britains got talent too. you couldnt wish for a more professional, fun packed, laugh til you drop holiday. There is so much going on in all venues that you could never be bored cause there is so much to choose from. We have def booked for next year.tip, book shoreline for the younger ones, its the home of billy bear, and book ocean for the older ones it has a spa!!!

The hotel and rooms are really good - although the grey wall seriously needed washing down - i did it myself using baby wipes and it took 30 minutes.

The hotel food is not great, but not terrible - I would describe it as canteen food - mass produced that will not set your taste buds going. Deserts were quite poor - cheap quality and not much choice. However, kids really enjoyed making their own pizzas.

Resort is clean and tidy, but the pool some money needs spending on the pool - it does not compare with the Minehead site.

Hotel is right on top of the fair area and the complex (these do not cause any problem).

Just beaware that not everything is free at Butlins, but the kids love it. For, me three nights / 4 days is enough.

For anyone else's info we paid £410 for three nights room only during school Summer holidays.

We have just returned from a four night break at Butlins in Bognor Regis. We stayed in the Silver Accomodation at the Atlantis, which was tatty, not clean and in desperate need of refurbishment. Considering we paid over £1100 for the four night break I would NOT recommend this accomenation for anyone.
