Riverside Caravan Centre
Reviewed 30 June 2014

Booked as a sun holiday, we tried to book our usual Haven Pagham but only this one available for the dates we wanted. Its sandwiched in-between a large Sainsbury and Tesco which is a little strange, I am sure the caravan site was there first though! But once inside the site, depending on where your caravan is, you wouldn't notice that is in an industrial area. First impressions were it looks outdated and a bit run down. The two security lads on reception were very friendly and helpful, took a couple of mins to get the key. The caravan was very clean, and nice little touches like, washing up liquid, cleaning spray, tea, coffee, shampoo and shower gel (allot of parks don't provide these and you have to take your own). Food and drink in the club house was reasonably priced and not bad. Entertainment was ok, the kids enjoyed it, and they didn’t think much of the arcades, which was handy for us as they spent less! It’s a bit rough and ready. Only 10 mins drive from Bognor Beach, had fantastic weather which I think helped.
The only thing I can really criticize was the sour faced women on reception when we checked out. Once she managed to tear herself away from whatever was more interesting than serving a customer, she took the key, no thank you, did you have a nice time? Nothing, just a sour faced look as if I had inconvenienced her. Apart from that it was good. Would I return, probably not unless I got a good deal.

Arrived here for a three day break the caravan was clean and had a great shower and beds were fine...the sheets and duvet covers arrived spotlessly clean and ironed...the carpet in the lounge area was a bit scruffy but we could live with that...the only problem there was is that the duvets are so thin you end up freezing half to death in the night and the pillows very flattened, so it might be an idea to bring your own...the park facility's were very good and the cafe does a fab breakfast with very friendly staff....a really pleasant site.

We stayed here 2 adults 3 kids fri to monday. We arrived 4 hours before the caravan was ready the lady behind the desk was happy for us to have our entertainment passes on arrival so we had a look round. We took the kids to the cafe where they enjoyed a lunch.
We were able to get into our caravan at 3:00 ( hour before )
After all the bad reviews we were very pleasantly surprised ! We found it to be clean and good value for money.
The campsite is right next to a massive tesco and sainsburys so very handy.
The swimming pools are fab we had a brilliant morning lazing by the pool while the kids played in the lovely shallow kids pool.
The arcade was good fun for the kids and they enjoyed the play park.
We would definately say dont always listen to everything you read as we found the staff to be nice helpful people and would definately recommend this nice campsite.

After reading the reviews here I was dreading taking our grandchildren on our Sun break weekend to Riverside. But I was pleasantly surprised. Our caravan (357) was perhaps not the best we have stayed in but not the worst either. It was clean and comfortable, bed linen was all clean and we had mattress protectors. Kitchen was a good size and had everything we needed, We found the site quiet considering the position in between the retail parks. Kids loved the play area. We didn't use any facilities on the site so cant comment on them. Check in staff were friendly but a dour on check out.

It has been years since I stayed in a caravan, and boy have things changed. The caravan was clean and comfortable, cooking facilities were good. Nice hot shower and clean loo!!!! The bar area was quite plush, not what I expected from a caravan site. Well worth a visit if you need accommodation in Bognor.

We visited for a sun promotion holiday so didn't expect too much. The caravan was in a poor position near the rear by some pylons and next to someone who owns one who complained when we put our swim wear out to dry?! Not the most attractive site and food poor from the restaurant. Only gave it 3 stars as the kids entertainment was good and the bar reasonably priced. Won't return.

just returned from this site, the caravan was fair but not the greatest by a long shot, unclean on the exterior and the interior dull and lifeless,entertainment...what entertainment?management dont listen to any complaints you may have and seems to be run by untrained chimps. The so called coffee shop we were met by a 'tut' as we entered as we walked past a 'mandy' on the way in because we seem to have interrupted her fag break(table next to the open door!) a very vocal woman who snapped what do you want?overall id give this a miss if you want to have a nice breakaway.
