We stayed at the Wave hotel during the first weekend of November and had a brilliant time with our two young nephews (five and seven). I was really impressed with the hotel, it was bright and modern with excellent facilities. The kids loved the fact they had their own room with bunk beds and their own flat screen TVs - so much so we had to bribe them to leave the hotel room!

The room was spacious, clean and had a great balcony. The check-in was easy and staff very helpful.

The firework display on the Saturday evening was fantastic!. We ate at Turners restaurant and received a very warm welcome from the staff and the food was delicious.

We also had breakfast at The Deck which was also good! The buffet breakfast had so much choice it was hard to decide what to have.

Would highly recommend for a family break and will definitely be visiting again.

i was in butlins beleive it or not for a works do - but i am reviewing as how i would feel travelling with young kids. The room in the hotel was very modern in style and clean. Great balcony also- but the real gem is that there is another little room within the room with a separate door revealing a kids room with bunk beds - kids decorating and a television - this would mean the kids could sleep peacefully whilst the parents could watch television or have a glass of vino without disturbing the little ones.

there is loads to do on site - rides - shows - games - clubs - swimming & flumes and various eateries.

This is our third trip to Butlins! We normally stay at the Ocean Hotel which we love but thought we would try the Wave Hotel for a change. They both are equally brilliant!
On arrival, check in was quick and we went straight to our room. Unfortunately we had to go back down to reception, there was hair and dust on the carpet and the bathroom needed a wipe round. They quickly sent somebody up and gave it a good clean that it needed.
We dined in the Deck restaurant which is just outside the hotel. The restaurant is lovely and there was a huge selection of food. The chocolate cake at dinner is not to be missed!
There was pasta station, a roasted meat being carved, grilled kebabs and burgers, so much to list.
We have booked to go back, but will be returning to the Ocean hotel only for the fact, our children prefer the kids den (bedroom).

Room Tip: The chocolate cake at the Deck Restaurant is not to be missed! ;-)

we stayed at the wave hotel again this year this September and found it excellent again. came with a new addition this time and I think both girls enjoyed it. The hotel was lovely and cleaned every day by the cleaning staff. All staff are great and the red coats as usual were fantastic at keeping my 5 year old entertained. Its fantastic that all the fair is free.. we didn't have to que up once as it wasn't busy at all but then we did go in September. We enjoyed the daytime show by the fair.. the wolf one was the best. we didn't eat in the restaurants as we enjoyed leaving butlins to go up town or to the local chip shops. Spar inside butlins is cheap enough too. Great pool and fantastic shows like the skyline gang kept both of the girls entertained. Good holiday form mon to fri.

Room Tip: we had a room by the car park and we could see outside the resort and keep an eye on the car.. we di...

We stayed for three nights over their Halloween period and I was not disappointed. Having last been to Butlins Bognor Regis in 1989, I had no idea what to expect but there was nothing left there from what I remembered..... However, what they have in place now is simply fantastic!!

We have children aged 3 and 4 and they loved it... Overwhelmed by it all, but they loved it.

Firstly the hotel was immaculate. We stayed in room 335 and it was spotless. The lobby, lounge kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms were all very spacious and the starfish cushion and fish shaped black/scribble board were nice touches. Cannot fault the hotel at all. We had a double room and a twin room in a self catering apartment within the hotel and it was ideal.

Secondly the activities for this age group are non-stop. Constant plays in the Character Theatre and Skyline Pavilion Stage (Fireman Sam, Mike The Knight, Angelina Ballerina, Barney plus of course Billy and Bonnie), indoor rides that were perfect for this age group with never a queue, large indoor soft play area (although my three year old was too small to do the large one there was a smaller alternative) and a variety of outdoor rides too. My three year old daughter loved the carousel (until it broke due to the high winds!!) and my four year old son loved the bumper cars, go-karts and driving school. Although as others have mentioned, the go karts are five pounds a kart and the driving school is a pound a go.

Whilst talking of money, because there is so much to do arcade and machine-wise, you do find yourself spending a lot of money on the smaller things so make sure you take plenty of spending money. I spent just short of £200 over our three night stay including three evening meals (we made our own breakfast and lunch), cuddly toys, photos from a character photo-shoot, go karts and then the usual arcade money... sounds a lot, but for four people over four days it doesn't work out too bad.

Halloween trail was a good touch, swimming pool was first class (hotel guests only from 8.30 - 9.30am Sunday morning was another plus point), puppet shows were enjoyed by all and there was other things we never got round to doing!!! Would we want to stay any longer? Probably not. A weekend is fine considering my children's ages as once they returned home on the Monday afternoon, they both said they both said they were ready for bed!!!!

Well done Butlins.

Stayed in this hotel at Butlins for a weekend in October 2013. We stayed Friday to Monday in a first floor Octopus room 2 adults and Children aged 13 & 9. The room was lovely and spacious with a comfortable double bed in the main area, coffee table and seats by the window and a wide screen tv on the wall. There was also a vanity area with hair dryer which was handy. The blue light above the bed was a nice feature and the main area has large built in wardrobe/cupboards which also house the safe, mini fridge and kettle with the mugs and tea and coffee. The kids had a separate bedroom with bunk beds each with its own tv/DVD player which was great, the room had a door with a port hole glass window, the only thing that could have been better would have been more cupboard space. The bathroom was quite large and very clean, the shower had LED lights in the shower head which had a disco effect which the kids loved. My only complaint was we were only given 2 large towels and 2 hand towels between a family of four, we requested more but had to ask twice before they were provided, this however didn't spoil our stay. I hadn't realised that the restaurant wasn't in the hotel but opposite, we went to the deck restaurant for breakfast but thought it was very expensive at £10 per adult and £6 per child (we didn't book a dining package so it may have been cheaper) if we did, there are plenty of places to eat breakfast and we found beans on toast in the Beechcomber pub for £2.45. The hotel itself has a nice cafe bar serving Coffee, and soft/alcoholic drinks, it also does a selection of sandwiches and snacks. There is also a gaming room which we didn't use as sessions need to be booked and we didn't get round to it.

Good, solid, hotel. Pleasant decor, clean, and light.
Rooms are well equipped and cheery.
Plenty to do on site. Helpful staff. Ten minutes from beach.

However, for such a new hotel, it is already showing signs of age ( currently a lift out of order). Also, a few small niggles such as still waiting for clean towels at nearly 5pm so unable to bath my toddler as other towels taken this morning. Busy site now ( term time) so may be just too busy in school holidays.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view on higher floors if you can.
