“Quite a way out.”
Reviewed 6 February 2013

Ok, here's another Premier Inn review. I'm only posting it because there are a couple of things worth knowing:
1. It's nearly 3 miles from town but I guess I should have checked that when I booked!
2. The pub isn't part of the the group therefore you can't use your Premier Inn business account card there for dinner or lunch

Other than that it's a nice old building and the pub is not bad at all.

Thank you for your recent feedback regarding your stay with us.
Although the Robin Hood pub is a seperate business to us you are still able to use your Premier Inn Business Account card for meals so I sincerely apologise for who informed you that you were unable to and apologise for any inconvience caused.

I tried to book rooms at this hotel for a family get together. We were 8 people coming from all parts of the country. Found it impossible to book on the website so eventually called the hotel, who quoted £50 per room per night extra to book with them. The member of staff I spoke to could not take the booking on the phone and assured me the manager would call me back the next day and deal with this. No call received next day so booked with a lovely hotel on the seafront with more facilities and a much cheaper price, who also don't want us to pay until we leave and we can cancel up until 12 o'clock on the day of arrival without any charge being made, unlike Premier who wanted all the money up front and it was non refundable. Dodgy at this time of year when you are travelling long distances. Needless to say won't be trying to stay with Premier Inn again.

As I travel extensively around the country I like to book a hotel that has food and bar attached, this is why I generally book Premier Inns. On this occasion after a four hour drive I checked in at 10pm too late for food as I expected, after dropping my things of in the room I decided to go down to the bar for a nightcap only to find that the bar had decided to close at 10pm on a Tuesday night.

This happens too often with Premier Inns all around the country and it disgusts me. If you are going to provide a service then provide it, dont suddenly decide to take that service away because the bars been quiet for 10 minutes.

I will not be staying at Bognor Regis Premier again.

After reading a few reviews about Premier Inns on the South Coast we picked the one at Bognor Regis. Really glad we did. Our short stay during the first week in the new year was very enjoyable. The room and en suite were lovely and the staff friendly and courteous. The Robin Hood pub is attached to the hotel and the design of the building gave the feel of staying at a larger hotel. The location enabled us to explore the West Sussex and Hampshire coast and associated attractions. Comfortable accommodation, good food at reasonable prices, free wi-fi, easy parking, all we needed for a fabulous short stay.

Stayed for one night. Nice welome and swift booking in. Good size room but very cold even with the heating turned up to max. Bathroom very small and cramped, I would have expected the bathroom to be heated but it wasn't, not a lot of difference from the outside temperature. Being the bathroom is so small the mirror was located to the left of the sink not very practical. Although the hotel is described as Bognor Regis it is actually 3 miles away from the seafront.

Wouldn't stay here again as to cold.

Room Tip: Avoid room no 14 or take some warm clothing.

Lovely location with the convenience of local super markets, and an attached Pub restuarant, which is apparently popular with the locals. The food is good and reasonably priced, but the staff are not all morning people.
The comfort of the accomodation is excellent, however the room temperature was effected by the December weather and air vent, to which we utilised as a makeshift fridge that kept our milk lovely and fresh.
The hotel receptionist gave us a warm welcome, and the chamber maids afforded an excellent service.

Room Tip: Take a carrier bag for covering the vent in winter.

Although the hotel is listed as Bognor Regis it is a good 3 miles from Bognor Seafront. Set in its own grounds with good parking facilities the hotel is very accommodating and the rooms are spotlessly clean and tidy in addition to being spacious.

The only one criticism is that the heating, although turned up, did not seem to fully heat the room properly and the bathroom was quite cold both mornings. However, in fairness the weather was icy cold.

The usual tea / coffee facilities and creature comforts are present along with the standard Premier Inn complimentary wi-fi in the main bar area. The hotel has a good welcoming feel about it and Reception staff are very cheerful and friendly. If it wasn't for the restaurant I would have given this establishment a higher rating.

Breakfasts are the usual generous and spoiled for choice affair that Premier have become famous for and the staff in the mornings are very cheerful and do their best to make you feel very welcome.

I only used the restaurant the first night. Unlike some Premier Inn's where the Brewers Fayre go out of their way to produce a cost effective and comprehensive menu this establishment was expensive.

Checking through their literature afterwards I noticed that they were offering a starter and main course for a special price but then failed to honour this in the final cost. Additionally, the starter was served almost straight away but the main course followed 55 minutes later. Ridiculous by any standards since it was not particularly busy.

Basically a good place to stay but eat out elsewhere since the whole experience is spoiled by bad restaurant management.
