This is a really interesting pub/restaurant as it has seperate rooms and nooks to eat in. We sat tucked away next to the fireplace in a cosy room with tasteful decorations. The food was super. I had the Trio of sausages from an award winning local butcher served on creamed potatoes with gravy. The sausages were reall good quality and very tasty indeed. Another member of the party had the Gourmet Beef Burger with salad and house cut fries. They said it was realy good and the presentation was GREAT. The chips were cut fat and served in a little fryer basket. The other person had the Goats Cheese and caramalised red onion tart and it was also well presented and very tasty. It's worth a visit for sure.

Despite the fact that I have been very disappointed during the last year under new management, I have been surprised to see that the Black Horse has now closed down, and I rather gather down to financial problems. The Pub is set in a delightful location and has an attractive interior, so hopefully it wont be too long before it is up and running again, perhaps with a less expensive menu this time.
