Having just returned form a 3 night break at this gorgeous hotel one would be forgiven for forgetting that there is an economic crisis going on outside it's grounds. The hotel was full every night which made for a buzzing and friendly atmosphere. The location is fantastic and even though the weather was not perfect, you could not help but be cheered by the beach and the sea. The food was some of the best I have eaten in the UK, the spa is sublime, but best of all they are incredibly dog friendly........ something which is key to our weekends away. The staff were friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble. Clearly "no" is not in their vocabulary. My only gripe would be that they were sometimes a little slow (possibly because they were full). A problem with a power outage on the Sunday night (which affected the entire area) was dealt with calmly and professionally and they managed to feed 80 people at a moment's notice with no kitchens. The sign of a truly great hotel is how they deal with challenges and I salute the team at Bailiff's court for stepping up to the mark so well. I would not hesitate to go back, other hotels should look and learn.
