Another stay at one of our favourite hotels. We took advantage of their special DB&B offer at £349 and decided to stay two nights so we could really unwind and relax. As ever the spa never lets you down - the outdoor pool is particularly special. We had a room over in the coach house which had the most fabulous bathroom with roll top bath and separate shower. The food at dinner was of high quality and the service excellent. Breakfast was a real treat with a good buffet and choice of hot dishes. The 10am finish is appreciated. The morning of our second day our wi-fi packed up and as it still hadn’t been fixed by the time we returned to our room at 5pm the reception team immediately offered to switch us to a room in the main hotel. This was an upgraded room but the fact that it was offered without us asking was most appreciated. The small amount of service charge payable for the dinner which goes to the staff is very standard on this type of special offer so I was surprised to overhear a customer complaining. It was a real delight to be able to stay here again and we will return.

A charming hotel, a short walk from the sea, with excellent service. We enjoyed some delicious food in the main dining room and particularly liked our breakfast. There is a fabulous spa attached and on my last visit I had reflexology which I can highly recommend.

Room tip: Book any spa treats ahead of your visit.

The food was out of this world. The place is delightful and the staff friendly and helpful. The setting is superb and the spa is such a treat. We had read some poor reviews and had heard some negative comments - I can’t imagine why - we all loved it

The four poster bed was so comfortable, we slept through the night, totally unaware of the storm that was raging outside! The room was spacious and well-equipped, and furnished in an olde worlde style which was in keeping with the 100 year old hotel. The open fire, ready to be lit, was a lovely touch.

Excellent food.
The room was lovely. Clean and full of character.
Service and friendliness second to none. Unique setting with easy access to Climping Beach which is a bit storm damaged but nevertheless impressive vista. A quirky hotel oozing character - a bit like the GM by the name of Chris who is energetic, witty and above all helpful. Thoroughly recommended. We shall be back

Room tip: Take a jumper if going in the winter!
