“Always worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 December 2013

Visited several times during the summer months and enjoyed every visit, Very popular so can be very busy but we always found a table available both inside and outside the restaurant. You have to order food and drinks at the counter but then it is waitress service. Good varied menu at reasonable prices. Staff there have always been friendly and efficient and quality of food is very good with large portions of everything. Outside seating area is situated adjacent to the harbour so great to watch boats passing by but on a sunny day it can get very hot out there as no shade from the sun so be aware.
Not been to the visitor centre but have been up to the viewing platform on the top floor, there is a lift to take you up there, great views of the harbour and surrounding area, we always go up there and have never paid to do so, not sure if you are supposed to pay.

“A cheap hidden gem, with great food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 November 2013

Ideal for families with primary age children or those interested in the area or view...At only £2 for an adult and £1 for kids this is an ideal Pre or post lunch stop, esp when combined with a visit to the lifeboat station. We spent 1.5hrs (mostly on our own!) exploring the 3 small floors of interactive exhibition about the area, the local legends and then more generally about the sea and the shore. However, the big win is the comfy story space and amazing view from the top of the tower. Finished off with lunch in the reasonably priced cafe below, which catered well for kids, with nice facilities.... This was a real hidden gem!

“Lovely Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

Over looking the River Arun and out to sea whilst eating a lovely lunchtime meal with my wife on a sunny winters day provided an excellent experience. The food was very good and reasonably priced, not the cheapest in the area but in this life you get what you pay for in this life. The service was very good too.

“Very nice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 November 2013

Been to the look and sea centre a couple of times for lunch in the summer and it's very nice. The location during summer is excellent.on a hot day you could almost be in Spain it feels so abroad.
Food is good, although you can't go in and Just have a beer, you have to have a meal if you want alchohol. It does get busy at peak holiday times in the summer at the tables outside. It's also very much in the sunlight.... So firstly wear your sunglasses as the glare is very strong and also put sun tan lotion on.

“A Must See”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 October 2013

Great local history in a superb modern building, it's perfect for a family visit with something for all ages. The vews across the harbour, the river and the town frm the lantern room are superb and not to be missed.

There's also a good cafe on the ground floor and the staff are friendly and helpful.
